Hello A: Couple things.. Atheism is like pregnant.. You either ARE or you're NOT.. There's no in between.. Therefore, the superlative "so" is unnecessary. An atheist wouldn't root against heaven. An atheist wouldn't CARE about heaven. If someone is blasting heaven, he's NOT an atheist.. He's probably a butt hurt Christian.. excon Side: Yes, other stuff

Excon, you are SOO rig … um, CORRECT! I "ignore" heaven and hell like I ignore a ghost …. that is, unless one is proven to exist. Many believe heaven is "up there", I believe the universe is up there. Many believe hell is "down there' I DO believe it's HOTTER than hell "down there" … science CAN be proven. With all our telescopes and "probes", no one has found heaven or hell. Ghosts? Well, I'm still waiting on all three. The ghosts seem to have a chance!?!? I don't "root" against any of them … just can't seem to "believe" in any of them. Side: Yes, other stuff
I don't root against heaven, I reject the claim that a god or gods exist. This includes rejection of associated mythology such as heaven, hell, the devil, virgin birth, etcetera. It's not rooting against it, it's the simple position that I have no reason to believe it is in any way true. If it were proven to be factual, and the Christian god existed as the kind of dickhead that would allow genocide, slavery, children dying of horrifying diseases, and demanding that you stone the faggots and anyone who worked on a Sunday and that you must worship it on bended knee lest you burn in hell like everyone else that was simply unlucky enough to be born into a household of the wrong religion, then I'd root against heaven, god, etc; In fact, I'd feel morally obligated to do my best to kill that god. And yes, there would be worse things. Like supporting such a god, whether out of cowardice or arrogance. Side: Yes, other stuff
Yes. Seeing as Atheists don't believe in heaven or hell I would say something worse would easily be religious people cherry picking their religion and warping God's word to suite their own agenda as well as to judge and condemn others in a misguided attempt to feel superior. That last part though, isn't a solely religious trait. Side: Yes, other stuff
