Is your pets body sacred? When your pet dies, should the body be burried and/or cremated?
Or should it be sent off to the land fill?

It kind of depends on the pet. If you kept them in a cage, it is trash. If you had them tied up, trash. If they met you at the door every day, laid on or by you, and watched tv with you, you might give them a simple memorial and toss their body in a hole. Then cover them with dirt, mildly grieve for a week or two, and buy another pet to replace them. Side: It's sacred

To glorify a pet's body as "sacred" would be completely the choice of the owner, but giving the body a proper burial or cremating is the least expected from the owner, as decaying bodies are harmful for other organisms in the surrounding, including human beings. However it should be buried.. http://www.memorials.com/ Side: It's sacred

To some people it may be considered sacred, but let's not forget that: 1) Many just bury in the back yard, or 2) Sneak it into the trash pick-up, or 3) Pay the vet to dispose of it in some manner, or 4) There's a few who have it stuffed and displayed, or 5) If it's a farm-type animal some probably actually eat it. How sacred is that? I have no way to know this number but I'd guess the percentage of pets who get funerals or memorials is no higher than 1 out of 10. Side: It's trash
