Jacob's 'Is God real?' debate
This has seemed to be the strongest kind of debate in Create debate's history. I was thinking, CD could use a larger debate again because they are always fun.
This kind of debate might have been over done but, it's wourth a try. I want a vey large debate sence they are the best kind. Anyways I believe in God because he is the logical creator of the universe.
God by defenition is supior to all others, not limited to anything. Not even the laws of physics. He has no begining because he is not limited to physics. The universe had a beging so it needed a creator, why doesn't God have a creator, well he has no begining.
nay. logic must apply. other wise it is a fictional character created by ppl to comfort themselves from the lack of understanding. remember these books we cling to. were made by ppl who have nothing to close of the ability and or recesses as we have today. back then when a person would pass out and not breath it would be considered dead. but now we understand that there is more to being dead then just not moving and breathing.
God being a creator sure why not? but it ends at that. you cant define it and you cant find out about it. so just saying its there is a god, sure say it. but some ppl want to know why. and when ppl ask the obvious question. it ends with because he was always there. ... how?
Explain to me how physics apply to everything in the universe BUT this one thing, that is everything?
god is an imagination made by people who had no control over there situations. Much like a person would go to there parents, family members who have made it, a government, and a king; they would fill in the blank with the idea of god.
OK so, this "god" makes something that can not apply to him. yet he is in it. Thus he is real?
For it to work (in this physical world) he would have to be a physical being in this world. Why would he make something to be broken by him? If we are his ultimate creation then why has no one seen him here? Why do we not see him now? are we unworthy? If so then why does he not talk to the people that have done grate things or the worthy ones? Surly out of the 7 billion + people, one should be able to talk to him and be brave enough to tell people about it.
The Egyptian god Horus, and so, so, so, many others are like that man. i do not doubt he was a man. but if he was real he would be a man. and nothing more.
Actually, you probably ONLY have Horus, who really isn't anywhere close to Jesus. He is the son of Osiris and Isis, but did not do anything close to what Jesus did, and if you can prove that he did, that would greatly help your case.
right... i almost dont want to go through a history class to prove a point on this site. id much rather wright a book about it and not just settle our argument but the delusional belief as well... so, wait a bit for that answer.
but i have a question for you. how is it ok to have a fundamental part of your religion, be fake? to me thats illogical
Please explain how an Egyptian culture influence a Jewish culture when it was at the time taken over by Rome?
Or explain how an Egyptian culture can influence the prophecies for Jesus when Is real was under control of another nation when the prophecies were written.
then why does your god not care for any human out there. explain how ppl pray to him day in and day out both people in high end lives and people with dirt homes. do the people in the dirt not have a strong prayer going for them? or is it that god is an ass and only wants "his" people to grow? or even better. is he just a dick.
really this whole thing on god is really just sad. people kill themselves to want to be with loved ones cuz they think they will be reunited in heaven.
MURDER! KILLING other people cuz they dont think like you HOW IS THAT OK ?? Egyptian Christian jew or what ever the hell. how is it ok to massacre all ppl who dont think the same... Now that's not exactly loving and Madeline believe me I'm am expert when it comes to the bible .
If god is real then why wait over a billion years to become real to us? If the creation is the definition and proof of there being a god; then i too must be a god. I have created things before, i have made them work systematically. Why am i not a god? God the imagination, can not be real because why would it be so much like us? was god not superposed to be above our own understanding? if so why can we relate to it? Personally i believe it to be a well played out story. That we took to seriously.
God did not wait a billion years to make his presence known. He talked with humans the moment they were created. You are not God because you have not created the universe. You need something to make something, God needed nothing. Creation is proof of God. You cannot create life by yourself, God did by creation.
creating something does not mean its living. it just means its there. kinda like we are just here. complaining cuz most of us can see past our self's. but back to point why are you afraid of god not being real?
