Maybe if you had some experience. Now? No, because I haven't seen you in action. You've got to be a mayor, governor, senator, or something first. You can't jump from the private world to the Presidency, of course.

And then I could always say that I socially networked with the President way back when... And even allied with him. ;)

Hey thanks, and I also would have to be like what, 30?

But hey, Obama makes it look easy, all I gotta do is read a teleprompter right?(only joking)

Yes, there are many uninhabited islands that need a President. Better yet, start your own company and you can be both the CEO and President and completely eliminate the campaigning and voting processes altogether. Shoot, you can be the Big Cheese, the Judge, the Jury, and the Executioner. Why, you can even make your own constitution ! Talk about incentive....!

All in good constitutional humor.

I thought I should jest for a change...

LoL, sounds like some kind of funny movie where I'm an idiot and get exiled to some island so they can get rid of me.

What about of the United States?

Well first, let's grow up to the ripe old age of 35 so you ca actually run. :) Also, let's see a little bit of experience so we can see how you act while in power and your platform. After this, we'll see. But probably, if you're running Republican. I can't see myself voting Democrat right now. (Who knows. Maybe I'll vote for a democrat eventually. It all depends on who's actually running of course)

Okay let me give some specifics:

In the 2025 election I will be 35(if I did the math correctly, but you get the point) and lets say I Majored in political science and have been a Governor for quite some time. Of course I would run as a republican. The campaign phrase I would run on would be "You The People", not something about me and what I would do.

I am pro-life and pro abstinence.

I am against illegal immigration. I will secure our borders and deport as many illegals as possible.

I am pro capitalism and anti socialism.

I want to make it a goal to get rid of welfare.

I want to it make so that the government has as little involvement in your personal life as possible, this is your country. Not that the government is not important because it is.

I want to return to the basic principles of the Constitution.

Those are just some of my principles and beliefs.

What are your views on abortion, legalization of marijuana, and alcohol?

Side: Now way?
1 point

Abortion:

If people don't want kids then they should try harder to avoid having kids before it happens. I personally believe that the choice is made when they have sex with any chance of pregnancy. I am against abortion.

Marijuana/Alcohol:

I honestly think it's odd that tobacco is legal and marijuana is not. If it where up to me they would both be outlawed, but even if I was the president of the united states it would not be completely up to me. I don't think people need marijuana. I think it is potentially dangerous and could be addicting. I think the same for alcohol. They should both be against the law.

Side: Vote for Jake?

Is that supposed to be No Way? Because if it is, there is NO WAY I could ever vote you into any office let alone the Presidency of The United States of America. Why I would not has little to do with the fact that you are a Republican and I am not. It has to do with knowledge I do not believe you possess nor do you have the people skills required for such an undertaking. You haven't the broad approach a person needs to understand their countrymen and you have no purpose or platform.

What you do have is hubris. To create a debate with only "Jake Jones For President" as a title and nothing...but nothing explaining what would make you a good president is kind of like giving a speech to deaf people with no one on stage to translate for you! Would you wonder why no one was clapping? Probably.

Since you posted three yourself and I posted two, I don't think the other four are a lot. Keep it up...keep down voting me Jones, on this and your other one. You are too obvious for words. OK...this was the last time I'll write anything on your debates, no matter what they are.

Nope. We disagree on too many fundamental issues.

That, and you're under 35. Give it some time.

(and remember: Those who seek power are generally those least qualified to wield it.)

Side: Now way?

I probably wouldn't, but it depends on who you're against. Your economic stance is the most important, and odds are you'll be running against a social liberal...

so i may end up having to vote for you (like i do with all Republicans).

Side: Now way?
2 points

... I would vote for you for Class President... maybe.

But we literally disagree on every political issue. I can't think of one thing we agree on as a matter of fact...

wait, clean energy, I think you're for clean energy right?

Even so, it's hard to base one's vote on a single issue.

Side: maybe class president
1 point

Well, I mean, I'm not against clean energy. I care about the planet. I don't like it when people think buying a little electric car the size of a shoe is going to help anything.

I don't think clean energy is something we really need to be worrying about right now. I think it's something that democrats are using to get people on their side.

But I'll admit I'm no expert on the issue.

I do however think we agree that having a light saber would be cool and that The Dark Knight is a great movie, but those aren't political issues. (:

We did agree that severely retarded people should not have to live, or something like that. Kind of a depressing issue though. ):

Side: Now way?

Not now, You are way to young that and I have no idea what you views on anything is so I would have to say no sorry but I have no idea what your stances really are on anything.

Side: NO WAY

I highly doubt that anybody that contributes to this website has the experience, knowledge, and leadership skills it takes to be the president of the United States. I find it very silly that people continue to create such debates when it doesn't really matter. Because it doesn't. Jake Jones would be out of the race before anybody could say or do anything. I'm sorry, Jake. Not to be rude, but you, along with everyone else that participates in createdebate.com, could never be president, not unless the country's (meaning USA) standards for commander in chief change anytime soon.
