So let's try answering the question instead of making unfounded assertions that ignore it.

IF we ASSUME that the statements attributed to Jesus were all made by the same guy, there is an argument to be made in favor of his intelligence. He was able to identify sources of human fear that are far deeper than simple issues of physical safety, sickness, or starvation. He addressed deeper questions like:

- Am I lovable?

- Do I have a place in the universe that makes me matter despite all my failings?

- How can I move on from pain and imperfections in my past?

These are complex questions, and when people come across answers to them, we can tell whether the answer makes sense. Moreover, we can actually try out the answers to see if they actually work.

All Hawking spent his life looking at was:

- Where did the universe come from?

All of Hawking's answers were speculative, and most folks don't seem to understand them. Significantly, knowing and understanding the answer to that question would not solve a single one of the problem most folks have.

It is not unreasonable, then to assess the comparative intelligence by how clear, practical, and testable their ideas were. In that case, the conclusion would be that Jesus was smarter.

On the other hand, we could judge intelligence by whether one can figure out how to keep from getting his ankles nailed together.

But you already agreed that nothing is ever created. It is just converted from one form into another. If creation is not even possible in this universe, then why would you believe the universe itself was created? You undermined the entire basis of your argument. The universe had an initial form (i.e. the singularity) and it simply converted into the form we see today.

Steven H. is NOT a "creator", he is an "explainer". Jesus is only, by myth or "belief in a probable myth" a creator. NO FACTS! Steven is a solver of puzzles, Jesus is a puzzle. There is NO EVIDENCE that Jesus (OR his FATHER …. who are one and the same???), CREATED anything! There is evidence that Stevens "theories" are plausible, there is NO "evidence" that a "god" created anything … only myths that some believe. You COULD call them theories, but they are not based on scientifically reasoned theory, just, again, "belief".

I, as an atheist, hope much of the Jesus story is true. Certainly not the "Son of God" or the "miracle" parts. I don't believe them, but the parts that are totally opposite from someone like YOU, are needed.
