Juvenile defendents trialed as adults should be granted adult rights.

If you're a juvenile, who is being charged as an adult in some crime, then should you also be granted the rights of an adult; like the ability to vote?

The age for criminal responsibility and the eligibility to vote should be the same.

If you consider a child or teenager to be mature enough to distinguish between right and wrong ideas and act accordingly, then you should consider this person to be mature enough to distinguish between right and wrong ideas and vote accordingly.

And it's undemocratic that a citizen can be tried and punished under laws that he had no right to influence.

I think it depends on the crime. The graver ones, like murder, grand theft, man slaughter, etc should have juveniles treated as adults.

Well if they are being charged as an adult then the crime must be a serious one for them to even consider that. In which case by the time the juevenile gets out they will be able to vote anyway.

I think there are a lot of younger folks who should be allowed to vote anyway. Maybe at 17 or even 16

Minors should never be tried as adults, but if the precedent is broken, then minors should be given the same rights as adults.
