They pointed out that inequities are especially stark in New Orleans, where the household income for black families is just $25,000, while for white families it’s nearly $70,000. The state also has one of the highest rates of incarceration in the world, and most of the prisoners are black.

What state is Orleans in again? Is Louisiana 85% liberal? Their Governor from 2008 to 2016 was Republican Bobby Jindal Both of their US Senators are Republicans The Attorney General is Republican The State Senate over 2/3 Republican and less than 1/3 Dem (approx. same for State House) It went for Trump by a 20 point margin etc. Side: I don't see the connection
