I didn't see any national referendum on whether Amazon would get tax breaks so you can't blame it on "libs" in general. Actually, I think it is more related to "capitalism" and it's the way capitalists hold the public hostage. "I'll give you jobs if you give me this ... and it better be more than the others want to give me! I, as a "lib" care more about what I GET for my tax money! Taxes are an investment in the community AND country! The important thing is not how much we PAY, but how much we GET FOR IT! If you cut taxes, you cut benefits, you lower the COUNTRY'S welfare. Rather than cut taxes we should cut LOBBYING that directs tax money to "special interests"! THAT directs the tax money to PROFITS, rather than PROJECTS which would "profit" the taxpayers!
