Although I am a straight cisgender male, I have always had a slight desire to be female. Not that I have many good reasons for it, except maybe curiosity and not having certain expectations made of me (of course then I would have a whole different set of expectations). I'm not at all planning on switching, but if I had had the choice at birth, maybe.... Side: Female

Mainly because I'm accustomed to it. With that said there are undoubtedly many advantages to being a beautiful woman. With that said career opportunities seem greater for men. But on the other hand, women are more caring and empathetic. If I lived in an Islamic society, there is little question of the better choice. I don't know maybe being a guy is better. Side: Male

Firstly, just how are we supposed to know what it would be like to be what we are not. I am male, I like being a male so why would I choose not to be a male. Though, in so saying, I definitely agree that there are some people who are born one way that have a strong affiliation to be another way and they have the right to be so if they wish. Whose life is it anyway. Secondly, the bottom line is that we are either XX or XY and that is totally up to our fathers at our conception, it's in our chromosomes, we don't have a choice. Side: Male

obviously it is not up to you biologically, the facts are present. surely you have some example of what a woman is, you can watch someone who is famous and aspire to be famous even if you are not. you can look at a tomato and aspire to be a plant if you want, even though you are not a plant. just a thought experiment. i think it might be nice to be a female despite being a male and not having any strong affiliation to be female. Many people live with someone of the opposite gender for most of their lives and still do not really know what makes them tick so how are we supposed to decide to be another gender just by looking at someone physically or by superficial contact with them. Beats me. Side: Male
