There are others who can translate for those who can't speak it. .

I'd say let them stay and let them choose whether or not they want to learn English. I'd also say let them choose whether or not they want to work, but I guess this is where I'm different from the government's opinion.

I however feel that jobs should not hire people who can't speak the language of the country. Since without that ability, you have poor communication on the job, which can lead to some great problems later on.

I think it would be unfair since English is not the only language in this world. We should be more considerate with the people who are foreign and who come here and are not so familiar with English. There's always a chance for them to learn. I know that they come here for a reason and they should be able to speak English but if we look at the big picture, we do not go around other countries and are forced to speak their language. And I'm only talking about foreigners who are truly willing to speak English. I think it's another thing if they come here and not bother to speak English at all.

It should be a choice because it is wrong to force them to learn the language. But they will most likely have to learn the language eventually anyway because most people in the U.S. speak English and people who don't know it will have a hard time finding jobs.
