As a species we evolved here on earth and, without artificial support could not survive on Mars. Living within a mini Earth simulated dome, or series of domes where life depended on a constant supply of breathable air would not be conducive to a;-'' and they all lived happily ever after scenario'' Mars appears to be a featureless, God forsaken place which most people would find inhospitable. The problem with Mars is that it looks like shit. Any initial colony is going to have problems with depression because the place looks so bleak. That said, it will definitely be colonised at some point in the next couple of hundred years, assuming we survive that long. Side: Stay on earth
