Mario Vs. Sonic Settled Once and For All
For decades, these two video-game heroes have been fighting over who is more powerful, more fun to play as, etc. Now it's time to decide. Sonic, on one hand, has an extensive, diverse recurring cast and many different powers that he can use without powerups. Mario, on the other hand, has many powerups and is slightly more well-known. Now it's time to decide: Who is the greatest hero of them all?

Sonic is better because he is fast, slender, powerful, and has a nice fan-base. His cockiness helps create a nice personality. Also, like I said in why he is better, Sonic has a bigger fan-base. How do I know? Well you see, there's this little thing called Fanfiction. Heard of it? Good for you. Anyways, at the moment there are 25,082 Sonic fanfics that I have found on a website (no I did not count them all) While as Mario has 5 thousand something. In terms of powers, Sonic wins. His many forms give him a better advantage. Sure he needs to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds before turning super, but he can still do much more without it! Also, don't give any crap about how Sonic is unable to swim. All heroes have weaknesses! If they didn't, they would seem too powerful, which would make the government fear (G.U.N. people!) Plus, an all-out powerful hero is a boring hero. Mario is fat, ugly, and stupid. Can Nintendo make an original plot-line, for like once! All he does is save that damn Peach from Bowser. Sure Sonic kind of has a same plot-line (always out to defeat Eggman), but SEGA is always changing it up. So many twists and turns along the way! Plus, in Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic the Black Knight Eggman didn't even show up! ORIGINALITY! Also, in Sonic '06 (which every Sonic fan knows sucked) Mephiles was more of the villain then Eggman, all Eggman did was kidnap Elise and be a partial reason for the release of Mephiles. Speaking of which, Sonic all has awesome villains! I mean COME ON Mephiles was just EPIC! Great voice, awesome theme, has a crystalline (I think that's how you spell it) form, and can kill you in a second. I would love to see Mephiles against Bowser hehe. Okay, off topic a bit. As I was saying, Sonic has VARIETY! Now, please I would love to see you Mario fans tell me how he is better. Try and make him sound more epic compared to this information. I dare you. Whereas Sonic is the Justin Bieber of video games, Mario is the Led Zeppelin. He's the sex, drugs and rock 'n roll of the party. Whereas Sonic spends his entire time trying to stop a fat creepy old man, Mario spends his time trying to get some sweet poontang. Do you think he saves Peach for nothing? He's fucking riddled with drugs, injecting magic mushrooms into himself, which turns him into a giant badass that murders everything. And it wasn't a meteorite that killed the dinosaurs. Ummm...yeah! Anybody can be impressive if they have power-ups. That's like saying that a football player is the best ever because he won the Super Bowl due to being on steroids. And Sonic does alot more than defeat Dr. Eggman (who by the way is a mad scientist who has an I.Q. of 300, so give him SOME credit). Do you know how many times he's saved the world? Do you know the amount of powerful villains that are capable of the apocalypse that Sonic's defeated? Did you know that in Super Smash Bros Brawl: Subspace Emissary, Sonic saved all the other characters from being turned back into trophies by Tabuu? And do you wanna know how Santa Clause delivers all those gifts in one night? He doesn't! He hires Sonic The Hedgehog to do it! Side: Sonic the Hedgehog

sonic is better because he can run faster than the speed of sound and he can turn into alot of special forms.Also he goes on diffrent adventures every day! mario is a fat lazy plumber all he does is save the princes so he can live another boring life.Also he too kind! Side: Sonic the Hedgehog

Ok. The things I've seen the other argument say things such as "Sonic saved all the characters in Subspace Emissary!" Canonically? Not at all. "Sonic has defeated genies!" Again, not canon. "Sonic defeats Eggman and he has an IQ of 300!" Well... does he outsmart Eggman? No, and the only times he does is because of Eggman's superiority complex getting in the way. "WELL WHAT ABOUT DEATH BATTLE?" Non canon. A couple of guy's idea on how a fight would go. Now, take a look at sales and ratings for Mario games and Sonic games. On average, Mario blows Sonic out of the water. And speaking of water, who is one of the only video game characters that can't swim? Not Mario, he can swim fine. Oh wait... Sonic. Yeah, Mario is a very transparent character, but Sonic is just obnoxious. Lets look at the most recent mainstream title for each. Super Mario 3D World and.... Sonic Boom.... Ok... lets try the ones before that. New Super Mario U and... Sonic Lost World... See what I mean? All these amazing things you guys say Sonic has done? There's a counterargument. And believe me, I want to see Sonic succeed, but he just isn't doing it. Side: Mario Bros.
