My new religion: Hellism
My god is a cruel god.
He judges all souls and then promptly casts them into hell where they will be tortured forever.
There is no way out. All humans are judged by this god and all go to hell no matter what they do, in life or death.
This means you. You will die and after, you will suffer forever and ever. You cannot ever be free. There will be burning and pain, poisons and ripping. There will be fire and knives and razors and horrible things.
Your heart will be eaten daily, and then grow back slowly. Your arms will be torn off, then stitched back on with burning needles and magically healed, then torn off again. Legs pinned and stretched with chains.
You will suffer endlessly for all time. Why? Because that is just part of God's mysterious plan.
This endless cycle of pain will never end. There is no escape; all humans go to hell.
Any questions or concerns? Any ideas to make this religion more popular?

This will never work. People will never buy it. You need to pin all the blame and fault on the potential followers. Tell them they deserve this torture for being true to their human nature. People are always very quick to accept ideologies that tell them they have something wrong with them. Low self-esteem as a species, I guess. 2

Ahh! Another excellent idea. I can probably just twist the Crusades from the middle ages though. Christians hate having that history on them, so I'll use the symbol of the cross, or crucifix, an instrument of torture. What religion would use a symbol of pain and torture but one that has a god of torture and pain? Purest agony dwells within the heart of the true god. The Christians will be happy to let my religion take the blame for the crusades and the holocaust too, perhaps. I'm sure I can twist it. Or write prophecies that are fulfilled according to history. 1

Someone has to first believe it. Right now it is simply a concept in Mackindale's head and in the description of this debate. (Or does someone already believe it?) Unless you meant Christianity... 'cause according to that nonsense everyone is destined to hell anyway. Oh "(Not Christianity, you goon.)" Okay... the first one then. 1

Ahaha, but it is true, is it not? How can you deny the Prophecy of the Burning Fire? It is foretold that upon the the Year 1939 The War of the Eternal Demon will begin, and millions will be tortured and die. It has come to pass, thus proving my religion. Not only that, but there is also the Prophecy of Doom, highlighting the years of today. The "Age of Infinite Communication", surely indicates the internet, and the "Dark One who Rises to Power" is Obama. Not only that, but it also notes the "Forever War", which is surely the long, but pointless war we are in now. My religion is surely true, and my God is too. Hail! It is unwise of you to not believe, not that it matters. You will go to hell anyways. Do not forget the wise words from the Scripts: Emperor 27:20 "He who knows he knows knows naught, he who knows he doesn't know also knows naught." See you in hell. 1
