First, ABC is a liberal network. Second, where in the video does it say that the people being interviewed are Republicans? Third, they probably interviewed hundreds of people that day and edited to show just the dumb responses... and last, the interviewer is putting the people on the spot. The average person typically doesn't think their clearest when put in front of a camera and microphone. When they heard "ObamaCare vs..." they automatically assumed he was talking about the alternative.
I'll just use Guitarguy's quote 'cause it somes up what I'll say anyways,

Lol , im sorry but those people are idiots, and the fucked up thing is that`s the mind set of most republicans, they hate Obamacare just because it`s called Obama_care, this proves that the average republican just follows the flock and lacks the ability to think for themselves
Why should it, your not the average republican, I have debated with some of you and even though we may disagree on things you guys at least have the intellect to understand things that the average dumb-ass does not, if anything the fact that you are here proves otherwise.
As for them being republicans in the video, yes they are, the only people that would so blindly dislike Obamacare and like the affordable care act as if it was a different thing are people that are Fox News educated, also I dear you to find a liberal that dislikes Obamacare, you can't, only Republicans and Libertarians have a problem with the ACA.
Very true, but I am not a Liberal or Conservative, I am a humanist, I do what's best for humans, I did my research and I dislike a lot of things about Obamacare but one thing bypasses the dislike, and that's that it will help 30+ million people, I will not just blindly dislike or like something.
The main problem with most Americans is that they are clueless followers being lead by pop culture, the media and religious institutions, I say FUCK them all, be your own person make up your own mind and do what's best for humanity, not personal self interest, but for the betterment of us all.
America teaches us from day one for follow blindly, America also teach us to worship money, power, they sell us on this false American dream and most people fall for it like idiots, the reality is the American dream is over, not unless you are "Slanging crack rock or got a wicked jump shot" Quote from the "late Notorious Big".
My point is most Americans think that they will become rich so they tend to protect a the rich man ideology just in case there day will come to join the ranks of the elites, but the truth is 90% of all Americans will never make it passed the middle class.
I say face probability and ditch the pipe dreams and greed that comes with it and live for the now, live for humanity, by doing so you will see that one day you or your family just might need that Obamacare, reality is the odds of the average American becoming rich are slim to none now days so helping 30+ million get health care might be you.

By forcing them to pay for healthcare. It's not so much of a gift when it has a fee. What about the people that it won't help? There are pros and cons to just about everything, typically if the cons outweigh the pros, then you want to avoid whatever that thing is.

I can agree to that to an extent. Pop culture obviously has a huge effect on the younger generation. As far as media brain-washing goes, I think it has a stronger impact on liberals. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and even Fox are all liberal networks. The only major Conservative network that I can think of, is Fox News... and their reputation is just getting stomped on by all of these liberal networks. Do I agree with everything Fox News says? Hell no! They obviously are going to cover news that typically favors their views, but they need to shout in order to be heard over top of all these liberal networks... sometimes that means saying or doing something a little outrageous. They're truly the minorities in the media.
Religions have been controlling the lives of people across the world for thousands of years. It's kind of ridiculous to point the finger at America when it comes to religion. We didn't create it. I'd say that we're at least in the top ten as far as religious decline is going. I think I actually pointed out to someone in an earlier debate that religion is declining faster in America, than it is in the UK.

Money and power is important to just about every country. Who are you comparing America too?
My point is most Americans think that they will become rich so they tend to protect a the rich man ideology just in case there day will come to join the ranks of the elites, but the truth is 90% of all Americans will never make it passed the middle class.
So we should all just give up? That's basically what you said. The fact of the matter is that the majority of Americans are lazy. That's why they don't ever achieve the "American Dream". Even the poor have iPhones now, so the goal to become rich is fading as the simple lifestyle now offers more.
I say face probability and ditch the pipe dreams and greed that comes with it and live for the now, live for humanity, by doing so you will see that one day you or your family just might need that Obamacare
They also might need that job that Obamacare cost them.

So since they can't get enough money to afford healthcare, the government is going to force them to pay for it anyways? Basically, just putting them deeper in the hole. Do we really need to further expand the government? We're allowing people who really shouldn't be controlling our country, to gain even more power and control over our lives.
I said a few times that i dont agree with how the ACA is being handled, there are holes in it but i do like the idea behind it and i want to give it time to work out the bugs and see if it works, if not lets get rid of it. As for liberals disliking it, yeah logically im sure there are, but logically most are conservative.
Its very embarrassing but I don't think its more typical of republicans... I think its more an USAian thing...
If you asked a difficult question to an idiot in the UK you'd get a response like "Fuck you, wanker!"
Ask it to someone with a similar IQ in the USA and you get this type of nonsense. Idiots in the USA seem to feel obliged to give opinions about things they know nothing about and for such opinions to be very very strong.
Very good point, we Americans do tend to think we know it all, maybe it's our entitled attitude, you know how most Americans think our shit don't stink, like how we think we run the World and everyone in it and how God only Blesses America lol.
Or how most Americans are in complete fucking denial that there is a Gun violence problem with 30k+ deaths a year, but yet we blow a lid when some third World country goes to war that not even our fucking business lol.
80% of Americans are god-dam idiots and are blinded by there own ignorance and arrogance, it's really sad.

What's really sad is your pessimistic attitude towards your own country. There's like some sort of new wave of anti-American Americans and it really is absolutely pathetic. It's people like that who really need to just move out of the country, because if you don't have pride in your own country... then there isn't much reason for you to be there.
It's the truth, I and will not lie to myself and hide behind nationalism, I will call a spade an spade and I truly feel Americans lost there way, blinded by greed and illogical reasoning, as for moving out of this land, no I will not this is my land I am native Taino Indian with Puerto Rican decent, so you are barking up the wrong tree here dog.
Let me address some more of what you said in your earlier argument...
Very good point, we Americans do tend to think we know it all, maybe it's our entitled attitude, you know how most Americans think our shit don't stink, like how we think we run the World and everyone in it and how God only Blesses America lol.
Our government does have a reputation for policing the World, but since when did Americans ever say that God only blesses America? Many different nations apply God into their mottos and anthems, so how is "God Bless America" any different? Nowhere in that does it say "God only Bless America".
Or how most Americans are in complete fucking denial that there is a Gun violence problem with 30k+ deaths a year, but yet we blow a lid when some third World country goes to war that not even our fucking business lol.
Yeah, there is a gun violence problem... but really there is a violence problem in general. The incidents that have been really big regarding gun violence... Aurora, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, the Navy Yard Shootings, they all had a common characteristic... mental illness. Guns are only deadly when used, it's the person behind the gun that is the problem. If we put more focus on mental health, we could prevent or at least greatly decrease mass shootings.
It's the truth, I and will not lie to myself and hide behind nationalism
I'm not saying that you need to hang an American flag in your yard and get all teary eyed when the national anthem is playing... I think you need to stop bitching about a country that offers more rights than the majority of the world. You're literally telling people from other countries that your country sucks. Would you tell that to someone in North Korea or certain African and Middle Eastern countries? I would hope not, because they have way more fucked up systems than ours. It's one thing to be disappointed in our government's decisions, it's a whole other thing to imply that you are better than the majority of U.S. citizens... we're in the same fucking boat as you buddy! This is why I suggested possibly moving to another country, because you apparently dislike the American people as much as you dislike the American government.
no I will not this is my land I am native Taino Indian with Puerto Rican decent, so you are barking up the wrong tree here dog.
I really couldn't care less about your heritage. That has nothing to do with the argument. It obviously has little effect on your opinion of America.
Or how most Americans are in complete fucking denial that there is a Gun violence problem with 30k+ deaths a year, but yet we blow a lid when some third World country goes to war that not even our fucking business lol.
Yet we still have less overall violence. People just prefer to use guns cause it's sort of easier.
But murder is only stopped by the potential victim. Not legislation.
