Absolutely, but I don't think the United States should be taking a "lead role" in this one. I'm glad Europe and the Arab nations are realizing that this is happening in THEIR backyard and THEY need to do something about it.

Yes, I think it's justified and any liberal would have to agree since this one went through their precious UN. But it's time for Europe to step up and do all the heavy lifting for once.

i agree that it is justifiable to do something there and that some form of action is needed. however britains armed forces are stretched at the minute. i dont think we can afford to do too much with our armed forces until we are out of afghanistan. and i think if we go into further conflicts then the falklands will spark up again.

we need to fully pull out of countries in order to maximise our services effectiveness i mean we still have men in bosnia for goodness sake. if we are seriously sending our men in we need to leave other areas first or our services are going to collapse under pressure, i mean you americans are probably unaware of the rediculous cuts on our services at minute who now can barely afford to continue with the staff they have let alone hire new employees

we are not a big country, but as far as the previous comments are concerned, it is ignorant and stupid to say that we havent put our forces into recent conflicts. i dont know if its your media coverage or perhaps the fact that you cant read but i find it genuinely offencive that our men are out there getting shot at and killed and you insult us by saying we need to get off our arses, get your facts streight before giving such a rediclous point like that

I think the Military Intervention in Libya was justifiable as they are responding to the needs and cries of the people of Libya. The President of that country is clearly using violence as way to obtain power and is using blood shed as a means to silence his people which is in clear violation of the human rights law internationally. When a leader kills his people and shows no mercy on them, then he longer deserves to be a leader. A leader is someone who serves the best interests of the people who has put him in power but when he cares about his interest only, then he becomes far lesser than a leader.

A country's foundation is built by the people of that country who has greater power than a president when combined and no leader should be allowed to infringed upon that power.
