Of course they didn't admit to it. That's silly. Visit a prison and see how many people admit to the crimes they are in jail for. Admittance is not a prerequisite for guilt. I think you know that so not sure why that's even an argument.
But regardless, here is a source
So why did about half the country believe they definitely did have WMD's when inspections showed without a doubt that they most definitely did not?
The only news about Iraq having these weapons came directly from the administration. There were exactly 0 sources outside of the US White House claiming otherwise. None, find one not connected to the Bush Administration.
Anyway, it's pretty easy math.
1. Every official source said they didn't have them.
2. Turns out they didn't have them.
3. The only people claiming they had them directly benefited from invading Iraq.
These are companies like Haliburton who Cheney was and still is profiting from link <-------
And of course oil. Oil prices skyrocketed as you remember, and several companies that both the Cheney and Bush families have stock in profited tremendously. It is truly ridiculous the number of ties to oil that administration had link <------
Kind of heavy reading, but it would be nice to be informed right?
Unfortunately the current administration has chosen to turn a blind eye to all of this.
1. Hard to prove intent no matter the crime
2. They are trying to be bi-partisan
My argument would be that bi-partisan does not include criminality of this level though.
One can be a conservative or right wing libertarian, and I'm happy to argue with them politely. But when this partisanship allows for unjustified wars and questioning such leads to one being called somehow unpatriotic, it is time to forget about political lines and get to the truth of the matter.
I've said it before, and people are as we speak attempting to rewrite the history of that administration,
even going so far as to sneakily infer 911 magically happened during Clinton's term and not 9 months after Bush was in office. And that the Bush administration never received a memo from the Clinton Administration titled "Osama determined to attack" or any of these other warnings link <------
- from losing the popular vote, to the Iraq war, to the second worst recession in our nations history, the Bush administration will be judged as one of the poorest in history.
