In the US, many on the Left wish with all their might that political affiliations can be decided by race. It causes some leftists to become exceedingly racist toward a person of a given race that doesn’t fit the assigned political narrative, especially those who fail to acknowledge non-existent oppression (except for Morgan Freeman, who is loved by all).

But no, having diversity and celebrating it, does not necessarily lead to racial and political differences aligning racially. Rather, it often leads to cultural appropriation, which is just fine.

Yes. In the most negative aspect, sure it "could" be seen as a division. But in a positive aspect, it shows of the best qualities of humans when we can accept each other and the cultures we bring along.

The argument is basically that having people who are different causes the people who want to all be the same to pull away from those who are different.

OK. So?

It isn't the people being different which is the cause or the problem, it is the people afraid of or objecting to co-existing with the others who are different.

Multiculturalism doesn't cause division, an insistance on division causes division. And if the right is cold or nasty enough then those you put instead in the mutlicultural bucket stick together to protect themselves and their own interests, because the right sure isn't going to do it for them.
