Multiple universes exist beyond our own

What used to be only in the realm of science fiction is now being seriously considered by physicists and cosmologists. The multiverse has its place in many modern theories; however, there are still many skeptics regarding the existence of more than one universe.

What do you think?

In even the most promising scientific theories of today, multiverses play an active role in the theory functioning properly. They add certain mathematical elements to the theory that "debug," in a sense, all the mathematical impossibilities present to begin with. And even though it is a radical idea, there are many things we accept as fact today (atoms, for example) that back in the day was almost heresy to consider.

the question has no knowable answer so it is not properly a scientific question or issue. It relates to science, but since science is limited to the one universe we exist in. Science as a discipline has no possible position on the question.

However, since it is unreasonable to believe in something like god, and we assume that there is a condition preceeding the big bang, i think that it is reasonable to assume that there are other universes out there, some like ours and others that are vastly different. Understanding the basic fabric of our universe gives one the ability to realize that other universes with distinctly different properties are not only possible, but are in fact likely. But again science will never know, that is unless we can devise a way to access or visit these universes - something i highly doubt.

Modern theories are based on observations and rational consistency, however, they are limited in testablity. They are important insofar as they could result in great progress, however they could ultimately be found to have not more significance than reasonable speculation

There is so much we do not understand at this point, wouldn't it be a little bit premature to presume that we are the only universe out there? Quantum mechanics has particles the blink seemingly in and out of existence. (True, this could just be a hardware deficiency on our part) Wouldn't it be logical to assume they went somewhere?

Well I beleive so. Once in A dream I had a strange experiance I had heard a loud noise Then i asked the people who had dinner with me what i ate then i remembered i skiped right to desert they said tacos then i started wondering around i confronded aliens then in the dream i went to bed as i wokeup in realatie i researched the subject i found an equation that would make sence L x 74 = 4 secends = 700 billion i fuigured that out then i saw a unidentified flying object it was probaly a satallite wierd

According to the theory that I personally believe to be closest to the truth about the universe multiple universes do in fact exist.

We have no evidence for a multiverse. In fact we cannot have any evidence of a multiverse. Any theory imagining a multiverse goes way beyond the realm of science and into metaphysics, but even there it's not taken seriously because it is not a necessary proposition, and we should not multiply entities needlessly.

Protip: If you can't observe it empirically, it's not science no matter what anyone says.

There's no more reason to believe in the multiverse hypothesis than there is for the Flying Spaghetti Monster...
