Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.

I honestly really liked that video. Hope that doesn’t ruin it for you.
I honestly think you are just saying that because you think I will be affected negatively when in reality I know that you probably didn't even watch the video and if you did you were too distracted by your racist thoughts towards the black man on the screen to even pay attention to what he was saying.

Some people get OCD when they see untidy or unclean rooms. Amarel gets it when he sees a black man who hasn't been gassed.
Well, I did watch it right up to the part where he was just promoting a few things rather than talking about the main subject, but that was in the last 20 seconds or something.
I liked it because he is talking like a capitalist. He is talking about owning the land you live in, and taking responsibility for it. He doesn’t like gentrification, but he doesn’t blame people who improve land for profit, nor does he blame people who didn’t know they needed to find a way to own because renting will not be an option, even though they’ve been renting for what he believes is generations. He is simply saying that people who dream of getting out should consider dreaming of buying up, and doing better for yourself and yours. I liked that video.

Sounds like a good deal. I'm sold. I tell you what: you give me your land and I promise to take responsibility for it.
Ah, you see, I think we have found a small problem. You want the land, but so do I. The only sensible way to solve this mess is to start a lottery and call it capitalism.
Or is that sensible? What if all the people who didn't get any land ended up hating capitalism, and all the people who did ended up loving it? Wouldn't that divide society? Wouldn't it breed anger, envy, resentment, greed, avarice, malice and self-delusion?
You don’t get my land because it’s not for sale. Start a lottery if you want, but you still can’t have my land. I didn’t get it because of a lottery, I get it because someone else said it was for sale and I accepted their price. There was no lottery involved.
Wait, I thought it was a free market? That's not very free, is it? What you basically seem to be saying is that your ancestors killed my ancestors, so now you own the land and even if I work really hard and save up squillions of dollars, I still can't be a successful capitalist and own your land.
Sounds like a great system buddy. Where do I sign up for it?
I didn’t get it because of a lottery, I get it because someone else said it was for sale and I accepted their price.
Because your ancestors killed my ancestors, robbed the land blind, passed their loot down through the generations and you eventually liquidated it into capital.
Property rights are essential to a free market. Meaning not everything is for sale.
Because your ancestors killed my ancestors
Are you really going to sit there and pretend that the unknown property of an unknown person in a an unknown location was attained because unknowable ancestors theoretically killed unknowable other ancestors? Go fuck yourself. I cordially invite you to come take back this very specific land that you believe belonged to your ancestors. I look forward to meeting you and telling you to leave. What direction are you going to head?
You're a crooked dildo with a chicken in your pants. K-Rino is way more lyrical and way more intellectual. Notice how in this track he talks about Logan Paul and Lil Xan for half the time whereas K-Rino is bringing a much more relevant topic to the table. K-Rino is better than Webby when he's not even rapping. Kiss my maximized gluteus cheeks and GTFO
Relevant to who? K-Rino's lyrics are relevant to literally no-one. He's not even a proper anti-Illuminati rapper either, he believes the Earth is round, that Trump was the better choice over Hillary and other shit.
He never makes realistic stances or relates to anyone remotely sane or normal unless it's pro-Illuminati.
I've got a book recommendation for you related to this brother. The Sane Society, by Erich Fromm. It's an absolute masterpiece. A real eye-opener. From the 1950s too.

I'll check it out. Hopefully I can find a PDF. Thanks for the recommendation comrade.

Anytime bro. Erich Fromm was part of the Frankfurt School, which was basically a loose alliance of Marxist writers and scholars from the last century. My old uni tutor put me onto them. Fromm was a genius psychologist and much of the book is a critique of Freudian theory, but it is essentially a work on social psychology and how it applies to capitalism. Highly recommend reading it. In fact, I should probably read more of his stuff myself. I've only read that one, but I remember how brilliant it was. One of those things where you finish it and just realise, yeah, the guy is absolutely right.
K-Rino is the type of guy to see an ant being eaten by an anteater and make a documentary about it and then get the idea that people are gonna kill the anteaters to save the ants.

What a tragically non-leftist thing to say. If you think leftism is about whining about mean words while you shrug at the thought of the poor being shit on you are sorely mistaken. This is why I have no fucking respect for you whatsoever you infuriating little stooge. You think the privileged and the impoverished should rightfully have a predator and prey relationship rather than equality of opportunity being established and you wonder why FM the lion is tearing into your ant eating ass?
What entitles a human to that land over another human other than money or political sway?
No one is entitled to anything. The concept of owning land is primitive and animalistic. The real question is how should the land be used? Should we use it to profit a few people, use it as a war zone while we kill each other, or should we use it to produce and sustain everything that we need for civilisation to prosper and progress, not fighting or competing for it but co-operating to use it in the wisest way possible?
Strangers don’t actually want to live in the same living space. There’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to have their home to themselves. But two different people cannot do that in the exact same space. So a single space needs to be occupied by someone, and not someone else. Why? Because everyone needs private space and most do not want to share their private space.
You said “Why do we have to choose between who gets a home and who doesn't?”. The issue is who gets that home. Someone gets to live in a given place, and not others.
You responded to a question with a question, but it’s not really the question at hand in the video.
I don’t have to choose who gets a home and who doesn’t. But I do get to choose to not let you have my home. But only because I’m not renting, which is more to the point of the video.

Land is not a human possession. That's just something the worst of our species decided a long time ago out of unforgivable arrogance.
How can you own the very thing that brought life here, to this point? It brought us here and it can take us away again. You don't own the land. If anything the land owns you.
EDIT: Sorry, I went full on spiritual there. Must be this high grade.
If land is not a human possession then the poor in the said land are not possessing it nor can they claim to own it since you can only own possessions.
If land is not a human possession then the poor in the said land are not possessing it nor can they claim to own it since you can only own possessions.
The land is going to outlive every individual and probably the entire species. To claim to own it is an egregious fallacy born of incalculable human arrogance. If your alien overlords came down to punish us, do you think they would respect the claims of us mere mortals to the Earth?
So, regarding the original debate at hand, the video and socialist stance regarding land is not only irrational but impossible to uphold in the long-run yes? Agree or disagree?
A human who cannot understand that a different human is entitled to a specific piece of real estate rather than themselves may be inclined to act as though the other human is not entitled to it. People who act that way are often referred to as burglars. Burglars act as though they (the burglars) are equally entitled to property that someone else is actually entitled to.
They are welcome to act/decide as they please. Consequences based on socially constructed and agreed upon repercussions for said actions are also entitled to be enacted.
I support being entitled to property. I'm not an anarchist at all, you have no idea what I was angling FactMachine into admitting and poked your nose where it shouldn't be.
CalTech did some research which studied the relationship between musical styles and bands and the SAT scores of the people who listened to them. He found that the smartest students listened to Beethoven (average SAT of 1371) and the students who rung in at the bottom of the SAT scores listened to Lil’ Wayne (average SAT of 889).
