No original debates left
Where has all the originality gone people? These days all I see are debates on abortion, and if it's not abortion it's homosexuality, and if it's not homosexuality it's a debate that goes along the lines of 'Is God real'? C'mon people, we can do better than this.

Yes, there are often similar debates that cycle through the site. But, let's look at this in a different way. I currently spend $1000 per month to keep the site going. That funding goes to hosting, support, development, and associated expenses. So, if I have failed you, then tell me what is wrong. If you don't like the debates, add new and unique ones. But, bottom line. Tell me what is wrong and I will fix it. This isn't free nor easy, but I love it and do it on the side (yes I have a real job). Please let me know your thoughts and I will implement what I can. I will be adding a donation funding link shortly. That will help with the expenses. Please help with the new cool debates... I'm gonna go ahead and post here what was in the majority of the massage I sent you (not the whole message though) 'cause I'm lazy ;) I try to make as many original debates as possible, however it is getting harder to come up with anything original. Perspective debates are easy to think up, it was more for/against debates that are losing their originality and becoming quite repetitive. I'm definitely not trying to go up in arms with you, I am quite thankful you keep this site running as it is probably up there with some of the most fun things to do on the net (in my opinion anyway). Thank you all for your support. I really appreciate what everyone does. Certainly there are cycles that happen as Saurbaby points out. Whenever there is a wave of new users (October and November were big for new users), many of the same old debates pop up. I am looking at ways to link similar debates together, not to force people into the same old debates, but to let them know the debates are out there. Andy Side: This site is awesome
It seems like people only want to debate about religion and controversial topics that break some laws of Christianity. If it isn't one of those topics, then the topic is about liberals being feral and incompetent, and conservatives being discriminatory and incompetent. It's been a while since I've seen a really creative debate. Side: This Site Is Losing Its Flavor

Sort of yes, sort of no. I can't say I see a definite decline or incline since I joined. Some interesting people are gone and other interesting people showed up. Joe is still here. I have also seen more than one debate very similar to this one. Even in tired old debate topics (which, yes, are annoying but not so hard to ignore) I sometimes run across an interesting or novel approach. You guys could fix this by maybe making some original debates... Side: Maybe
I think this site goes through waves. It depends on what is going on in the world and sometimes we get bored. Though I think those common debates need to be started over again for new people and it's boring to jump into a debate when it's months old. No one goes back to it. I love this site though :) Because sometimes you get interesting opinions on something you thought you already knew all the arguments on. Side: Maybe
