Hootie said Mussolini is king of Fascism. Turns out he was a Socialist Commie
- As quoted in Talks with Mussolini , Emil Ludwig, Boston, MA, Little, Brown and Company (1933) p. 38. Interview between March 23 and April 4, 1932, at the Palazzo di Venezia in Rome [1]

People can call themselves whatever political or economic group they want to. I remember Mussolini making speeches in Newsreels. He had the same head movements, body movements, and stuck his chin in the air as Trump does! ……….SCARY! Observe …. the new King of "nationalism" (Nazism)! :-( Side: Communist

People can call themselves whatever political or economic group they want to. Alfie, Mussolini's father was a socialist. Mussolini joined the socialist party as a teenager, but he was kicked out. He then went on to reject socialism and became a fascist. Bronto is quote mining again. He's been doing it all week. He auto-rejects all information except the bits which fit in with his twisted, neo-Nazi ideology. Side: Communist
Claiming to be a socialist in 1932- It was inevitable that I should become a Socialist ultra, a Blanquist, indeed a communist. I carried about a medallion with Marx’s head on it in my pocket. I think I regarded it as a sort of talisman… [Marx] had a profound critical intelligence and was in some sense even a prophet. Mixing fascism and socialism in one speech in 1935- Fascism establishes the real equality of individuals before the nation… the object of the regime in the economic field is to ensure higher social justice for the whole of the Italian people… What does social justice mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes, it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. Nor is this enough. It means that the workers must enter more and more intimately into the productive process and share its necessary discipline… As the past century was the century of capitalist power, the twentieth century is the century of power and glory of labour. Four Speeches on the Corporate State, Rome, (1935) pp. 39-40. Speech delivered to the workers in Milan. Eric Jabbari, Pierre Laroque and the Welfare State in Postwar France, Oxford University Press, (2012) p. 46 Side: Socialist
Claiming to be a fascist in 1932- The Fascist State directs and controls the entrepreneurs, whether it be in our fisheries or in our heavy industry in theVal d'Aosta. There the State actually owns the mines and carries on transport, for the railways are state property. So are many of the factories… We term it state intervention… If anything fails to work properly, the State intervenes. The capitalists will go on doing what they are told, down to the very end. They have no option and cannot put up any fight. Capital is not God; it is only a means to an end. As quoted in Talks with Mussolini, Emil Ludwig, Boston, MA, Little, Brown and Company (1933), pp. 153-154, Interview took place between March 23 and April 4, 1932 Side: Socialist

Fascist is a political term, socialist is an economic term. Socialism can be coupled with several different political entities. Coupling it with DEMOCRACY makes it work COMPLETELY different! We have a LOT of socialistic programs in the U.S., they are the most popular programs AND operations (like the snow & garbage removal and first responders, the road repair, we ALL share the cost of. Add to that, we STILL own our own businesses and land while "the specter of socialism looms over U.S.! Bernie look like an authoritarian strong man to you???????? I agree with you on Bronto. If he likes Trump (and he LOVES HIM), HE is the fascist/neo Nazi! Certainly NOT a pillar of democracy! Side: Communist
