Think of it as a ball. If you travel in a straight line, you'll end up in the same place, but if the earth was flat, then you'll just fall off the edge.

Galileo was rightly outcast for calling into question the idea that the earth is the centre of the universe. This is a biblical doctrine, that the earth is unmovable and that the sun orbits it.
The definition of cult is what you do with Wikipedia and the information you get from those precious scientific journals, not in believing in God.

Words have more than one definition. That is why a dictionary lists several of them. Context determines meaning, you confused the meanings intentionally to make a deceitful argument.

NASA is part of a global conspiracy to promote roundness of the earth, and to undermine the infallible bible to promote atheism.
Read my dispute for your argument at the top. The bible does not say that the Earth is flat. And why would NASA go through all that trouble? Couldn't they just say that god doesn't exist? It would be so much easier. For a conspiracy, I mean.
It was scientifically proven that the earth is round and many famous Greek philosophers and mathematicians including Pythagoras agreed that the earth is round...... also you can go round the world... duh!
The Earth is IN FACT round, thought it doesn't feel that way. Earth FEELS flat because human vision is not good enough too see far enough to register the curvature Earth, that is, most of the time. This is the exception: When we see the "horizon" over the ocean (where Earth meets the sky) we are actually seeing the curvature. At the point where our eyes see the sky and water meet IS the farthest point before the curve of Earth's surface prevents us from seeing anything past that point.
The earth is most DEFINITLY flat. The moon proves it. Then only reason you see a cresant moon is because the earth's shadow (which is round and sperical) is reflected on the moon's surface by the sun.
If the earth was any kind of flat, there would never be a shadow, on the moon or other wise.

Well back in 1492 Christopher Columbus thought the earth was flat, but this was before any type of technology or science existed! Today we can clearly see that the earth is perfectly round like that of a basketball!!!!LOL!!!
We have photos of the earth, and even before that - we could observe the curvature of the earth during eclipses. Even ancient people could figure that out ;)
This is really pretty simple. Flat Earth doesn't allow for lunar eclipses, the tidal-locked face of the moon, phases of the moon the same from all parts of the world, seeing the same constellations in the Southern sky from all points in the Southern hemisphere, the accuracy of a simple compass, or the counter-rotation of stars in opposing hemispheres (to name but a few common phenomena). As these things all exist, are confirmed, and both predicted and explained by the globe model, Earth is clearly a globe, and not flat.
I could take the easy rout and call it round (there is a lot of fairly convincing photographic, video, testimonial and circumstantial evidence), but according to a book written by people with almost no knowledge of astronomy, geology or gravitation, the Earth is flat. Any "scientist" who says otherwise will burn in hell. What next, continental drift?

If you never leave the earth on a skyrocket, then the earth will still be (infinitely) flat for you, because you'll always reach the same point walking on it... definitely as a kind of paradox, but very logical if you realize that who's over the surface of a sphere and doesn't know that, will see it as a plain undoubtedly.

Bermuda triangle really? It's a myth. Earth is flat to give a better climatic condition because,in the bulgy equatorial tropical forest survive on regular evaporation and precipitation of water,and shortened towards pole to decrease tree cover towards pole,and give freezing climate in poles.
Who knows... We probably are being led to believe that it is round, while successful astronomers and stuff way ahead of their time believed it was flat. Possibly it is flat but has some portal or something that puts you at the beginning once you reach an end. Just something to think about right?
