Our current society's view of the gay community is half ass backwards.
In todays society, straight men seem to favor lesbians and disdain gay men. Straight women seem to favor like gay men and disdain lesbians. But if the world was right side up, straight men should pressure other straight men into becoming gay, that would make more straight women available to them. Similarly, straight women should pressure other straight women to become gay so that they end up with more straight men for themselves.
But the gay community is also at fault here. Lebians should be less butch and more like.... lipstick lesbians. that way they can recruit more straight women into becoming lesbians. Very few staright women are willing to give up their Gucci bags in order to become lesbians. Similarly, very few straight men would turn GQ in order to be gay. If gay men were more like straight men, they'd be able to increase the number of recruits.
Anyway, what say you?

OK, if you don't understand it.... read thePyg's post. You'll get it. It takes a while but once you realize the deal you'll be like, "OMG! That guy.... the one dating that hot chic I really like... he's like sooooo gay! If only he would come out of the closet...." ;) Side: Yes, it is

I'm only posting here because I don't really think it's that easy to encourage people to become gay or straight. But, I do try to encourage closet gay dudes to come out of the closet. Well, I do a shitty job at it (call them fag all the time and make gay jokes about them) but I get my gay friends to try and get them to come out. It just pisses me off when gays are in the closet... i hate deception. Also, there's this dude who's half dating this girl who I really like and i'm pretty sure she likes me back, but she's just so used to him that I need him to come out (cause it's obvious that he's gay). If I describe the entire situation, this post would be long as fuck, so I'll just say that I have a gay friend who's working on getting this guy to come out; i benefit by getting one of the few girls i've ever truly liked (ThePyg, love? umpossible!) In a stereotypically ideal world, I suppose your arguments are valid. Straight men encouraging other straight men to turn gay for the benefit of having more women to themselves? That might be a worthwhile endeavour (ideally) if you were one of, say, ten men left alive. With roughly three billion male humans on the planet, it would be a complete waste of energy for one man to waste so much time trying to convert other men to homosexuality (or vice versa) for the benefit of having a potentially greater chance of sexual conquest. The more I write this, the stupider I feel. You've got to be kidding, right? Side: No, it isn't

"straight men should pressure other straight men into becoming gay, that would make more straight women available to them" No. If your premise is true that "Straight women seem to favor like gay men", then what the straight guys will be doing is increasing the number of gay guys for women to favor. The only solution is for straight men to become gay to get the girl. You, sir, by your own logic are condemned to become gay. Enjoy! Side: No, it isn't
