Ozone hole of the gaps What happened to the scary hole?

These same people told my generation that there was a hole in the ozone the size of Antartica and we'd all get sucked out or fried. Then one day, we just quit hearing about it. The topic just vanished... poof! What happened to the scary hole?

The Styrofoam Cups that were causing all those problems are still around today. Progressives are always on a mission to stir up their base with some insane claim !

Side: It was never there

The hole is still there, obviously. And ozone layer is still not really recovered.

It stopped making headlines, sure. If you needed to know about it, then you would hear about it. Everyone doesn't keep getting and knowing details of everything, do they?

The only reference it contains, even that in the comments, is to a social science journal for which I couldn't find any peer review details. It's already awkward that the articles were even put there.

Sorry to say but that supposed hole in the ozone that you are referring to does not exist if it did the Leftist would still be crowing about it to this day.

I never did get sucked out of the hole, nor did I get fried. Was the getting sucked out and fried just a big fat liberal lie?

Ozone layer does not hold the atmosphere from vacuum, and it was over Antarctica. You wouldn't get fried in the traditional sense, but it would destroy your genes if you go under it.

You are such a dumb mother fucker. The world stopped using CFCs and the hole is slowly going away. You just proved we need to take action on global warming.

Nope. People use CFCs all of the time, every single day. Off ya go.

Not nearly to the extent as they used to be. CFCs were banned in the US back in the 70s, and in the 80s, 191 countries signed an agreement to phase them out over time. As of 2008, it was 90% complete.

Don't quote to me what your Mom used to tell you when you were small. Come up with your own arguments.

The hole is still there, it is however repairing itself. I think they estimated it won't be fully healed until about 2050?

The repairing was yet to begin. Because of the CFCs that were already released and rising.
