Parkland Student calls for "Confiscation of all Semi-Automatic Firearms"
On Sunday, the most recognizable far-left activist from Parkland, Florida called for the confiscation of all semi-automatic weapons from American society in the wake of a shooting in Tennessee.
Reacting to the shooting at a Waffle House in Tennessee in which several people were shot, far-left activist Emma González immediately attacked the NRA and Smith & Wesson Corp.
After several tweets, González called for the confiscation of all semi-automatic firearms, writing: "Removing the assault and semi-automatic weapons from our Civilian society, instituting thorough background checks and mandatory waiting periods (and raising the buying age and banning the production of high-capacity magazines) are the ways to stop shootings in America." Guess that statement makes so sense to only a Progressive !
González then falsely claimed that mass shootings do not happen in other countries, despite the fact that the worst mass shootings in world history have all happened outside the United States.

The student has every right to her opinion, just as an NRA member has a right to theirs. I disagree with her as stated. There are many semi-auto weapons that, to me, are okay. I agree with the majority of NRA members that assault weapons should be banned, that large capacity magazines should be banned, that thorough background checks should be mandatory. None of that steps on the second amendment, just makes it more practical for todays situation. Things have changed since the Musket, the amendment should change with it. Well, let's see. The musket took between two and three minutes to reload its single shot, which wasn't very accurate because the barrel wasn't "rifled". In 2-3 minutes the target could either be out of range or punching the perpetrator in the face! Today, an assault weapon is reloaded in a microsecond and another round is coming out of the barrel before someone has registered that s/he is being shot at! Lasers? Get real! A totalitarian regime doesn't yet need a phaser, all they need is a 30 round magazine that's hard to stand up against! Apparently you are still in grammar school if your imagination runs to lasers and phasers! 1

They just want to make a big commotion, PEOPLE DIE EVERY FUCKING DAY! Why are we making this a special case? All guns are a basic human right, try to take them, and watch a war spark. I don't care who dies, You can never take away our weapons, even our semi-automatic ones, we have the right to be a well armed militia, taking away these violates this right, take this away, and I promise a lot more deaths will spring from it. 1
