I think that perfection is very subjective, and therefore unattainable. it's our flaws that give us character; someone who is flawed can never be perfect, and someone born flawless can't be perfect because they've never had to struggle.

Side: Yes, there is pitfalls

Perfection should always be the goal. Nothing is perfect, but that is no excuse not to try to achieve it. One should always do the best they can do at whatever is they are doing.

We build things to wear out, at one time things were built to last forever. The pyramids, the Colosseum, buildings in general and even cars were built to last. The Model T Ford was built simple in order that it remain dependable, a car today is not dependable. Too complicated with computers to be dependable for any length of time. Perfection is not the goal of the USA anymore and see where that landed us. We now settle for imperfect and plan to replace whatever it is that breaks down. Cheap rather than good. Imperfectly made and yet fits perfectly into a landfill. I guess that is called Progress?
