Recognizing and acknowledging this reality must be applauded.
The Jewish people took this third world cesspit of a country and turned it into a modern, wealthy and self reliant state.
The state of Israel is a reflection of the strong character, innovation and work ethic of the Jewish people who turned this barren land into a thriving sovereign nation despite being surrounded by vicious enemies who are dedicated to its overthrow.
Time and again the better equipped and numerically superior forces of the Middle Eastern Arab nations attempted to overrun Israel but were repelled by the skill, courage and determination of the Israelis defenders.
Well doggone it, you mean you don't agree with me?
Well, I gave your well presented and powerfully persuasive counter argument my full and serious consideration but alas you just failed to convert me over to your standpoint ( whatever it was ) on this contentious issue.
However, your potent and compelling argument techniques must be commended.
You have liberals screaming and crying that the white man stole the Indians land because they were here first, well the land in dispute was in Jewish possession 3000 years ago, proven through archaeological evidence. Now liberals are crying that the land doesn't belong to the Jews, even though they were their first. No other group today can date back that far and claim the land. It is the Jews land. Liberals need to get over it. The Palestinians have no desire for peace, they want Israel destroyed, so this may make them negotiate in good faith. If not, let Israel keep taking more land and drive them out of the region completely.
well the land in dispute was in Jewish possession 3000 years ago
Oh, OK. And America was in the possession of indigenous natives 3,000 years ago. So how about you gtfo and let them bulldoze your homes, you ditzy clown?
America wasn't in the possession of the native Americans 3000 years ago. But here is a bit of 411 for you, the native Americans may well be Israeli descent. There are many similarities between the Indians and their style of living and the style of living of the Israeli's before the nation was divided, archaeological evidence has revealed this profound fact.
Wrong again, buddy. They arrived via the Bering land bridge 12,000 years ago.
Native Americans are believed to have descended from northeast Asia, arriving over a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska 12,000 years ago
Your caption says "are believed to have..." and yet you stated that it was a fact rather than "are believed to have". You should stop lying and providing links that prove you are lying. I wonder how many of your past "facts" were really just "believed to have"....
Native Americans are believed to have descended from northeast Asia, arriving over a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska
So they crossed the better part of the planet to get from Asia to modern Russia, none of them ever settled in Russia, as is normal with other past settlers, even despite it's enormous length, and got to America looking nothing like Asians...
Jerusalem was already the capital, he just decided to show his hatred for Islam by sucking up to a country that has tyrannically ruled Palestine for far too long.
Like most liberals, you confuse Biblical standards with hate. I am a centrist, but I respect this move. Jerusalem was not the capital of Israel, Tel Aviv was. Jerusalem belongs to Jews, end of story.
No, the embassy was there to cowtow to liberals and Muslim, and I'm a centrist...........................................................................
I'm a racial Unitarian, for religious reasons, I DON'T CARE sbout race. We all come from Adam and Eve. God gave that land to the Jews, end of story....................................................................
Former head of the PLO Zuheir Mohsen- “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.”
And- “the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”
There was never a people known as “Palestinians” until well after the a people known as “Jews” re-acquired land that they once had long ago. Before them, the Brits had it. Before the Brits, the Ottomans, so one and so forth back to BCE. The people of Israel have as much right to their land as does the Lebanese, the Kuwaitis, or anyone else within the carved up borders of the former Ottoman Empire. Who says we should give Baghdad back to the Turks? No one.
As for Trumps move, he merely decided to execute the will of the US Congress. As the head of the Executive branch, that’s a big part of his job.
Zuheir Mohsen is saying that Israel is unfairly taking land from Arabs just because their book says it. When ISIS takes land because their book says it, we say they are wrong. So why is it right when Israel forcibly takes land from Islamic people be they Palestinian or just plain Arab?
The point here is that it didn’t belong to the Turks anymore and it hadn’t belonged to the Arabs in a very long time. It belonged to the Brits. What happened to it was up to the Brits. So the Brits created a new country and handed it to the Jews that had been moving there in droves. They created other countries and gave them to other people, but no one throws a fit about that.
Oh, OK. It didn't belong to the Turks anymore therefore it belongs to the Jews
No, it didn’t belong to the Turks because they picked the wrong side of the war and lost the land to the Brits. The Brits gave the land to the Jews, most of whom had already settled there as a Zionist effort predating WWII. Israel has as much right to be as any of the other countries created in this fashion. None of which are disputed. (Iraq disputed Kuwait, but not for very long). The Arabs have as much right to Israel as they do to Spain.
Britain has given the rest of its occupied territory back to the people it stole it from, including America
And every year on the 4th of July America celebrates Britain’s generosity.
No, it didn’t belong to the Turks because they picked the wrong side of the war and lost the land to the Brits
I'm not questioning why it didn't belong to the Turks anymore because it didn't belong to the Turks in the first place. They conquered it violently, as did the British. The British have given the rest of their colonial land back to the owners of that land, with the exception of Israel, which they have given to the Jewish religion.
As per usual, you try to change the point completely.
You know they have Muslim citizens right? You know they even have Muslims in their military? Does the UK belong to the Church of England since that is the state religion?
I don't understand what relationship you think this question has to anything I have thus far said. I fear it is yet another of your random topic changes.
Does the UK belong to the Church of England since that is the state religion?
The United Kingdom is not a theocracy you buffoon. There have been atheist Prime Ministers of our country. Have their been any non-Jewish leaders of Israel? No, because it's a theocracy.
I literally can't believe you're going to try to argue that the Jewish state isn't Jewish. Are you mad?
Neither is Israel, it is a parliamentary democracy. Though both have an official state religion. Israel has had Arab Israeli members of their national legislature since elections began in 1948 and there are currently 18 non-Jewish arabs in the legislature.
According to World Atlas, there are only 7 theocracies in the world and Israel isn’t one of them. They are Afghanistan, Iran, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Vatican, and Yemen. Every theocracy except the Vatican is Muslim.
I literally can't believe you're going to try to argue that the Jewish state isn't Jewish. Are you mad?
I’m not arguing that. I am saying it isn’t a theocracy. Israel has Muslim citizens, Muslim military members, and Muslim members of the legislature.
I'm not questioning why it didn't belong to the Turks anymore because it didn't belong to the Turks in the first place.
It had belonged to the Ottomans (their capital in Turkey) since 1514. Why is it not theirs? Because they took it from the Mamluks? The Mamluks from Egypt only had it because they defended it from the Mongols when it was under the control of the Ayyubids, before whom it was under the control of European Crusaders for about a hundred years. Do you want to give Israel back to its people, the Crusaders? Before them it was tossed back and forth between the Seljuq Empire and the Fatimids. Maybe they should have it. Of course before them it the Abbasids and before them the Umayyads. I almost forgot the Ikhshidids. Maybe that’s beside the point since many of these were some form of Abab Muslim leadership, which all began with the Muslim conquest of Syria. Is that why you suppose it belongs to them? Before them it was under Byzantine control (which had its capital in Turkey). Are you sure it didn’t belong to the Turks in the first place? There are a lot of others if I were to keep going back. But there was never a group called the Palestinians who controlled the region. The first peoples who ever called it their home were the Canaanites who became Jews. They have control of it today, but only because the Brits gave it to them. Or should I say gave it back to them? No matter, it was a British decision to make.
It already was the capital, so it's basically calling a spade a spade. It simply shows a complete lack of international political finesse and a misunderstanding of the issues to decide to come out and make such a controversial statement.
I wonder now if Israel will declare Mar-a-Lago the new US capital?
The issue is that Palestine sees Jerusalem as their capital, Israel owns Palestine against their will.
So the former US presidents decided to have the embassy for the nations in Tel Aviv as this was a city that both Palestine and Israel felt little conflict over being theirs (both agreed Tel Aviv was rightfully Israel's land and since the embassy is officially for Israel this avoided conflict).
What Trump has done is declared outright that Jerusalem is Israel's capital, not Palestine's, by this act. It's not at all about righting a wrong, it's about stirring the pot in Islamic nations to hate him even more.
Why do you say Trump is out of his mind? Chaos has always been in the middle east, you can't say there is more chaos because the is no way to measure whether it is more chaos or less chaos than before. Trump has done what many other Presidents before him have "said" but failed to "do". Other presidents used the Jewish people and their situation to win the hearts of people for the purposes for winning an election but when it came time to fulfil their word they completely disregarded and never even bothered to try and make good on their statements. Trump is one of the last reasons America has not fallen into total destruction yet. Trump is in many ways the grace of God for the nation of America. When Trump has had his run, America will fall. The economic crises, the unemployment situation, the bubbles which are all over the country, the nation is on its last legs.
Trump doesn't care about Israel . The only side he is on is the one that is making America great again. I'm ready to bet that Trump doesn't even know the history of Jerusalem.
The only reason he did this was to strengthen our hold on all the nuclear power Israel possesses. Its ideal placement next to Middle East will allow us to make oil "negotiations" more convincing.
We could have sucked up to Israel without rubbing our bony American ass in Jerusalem. There are so many problems ( including our own ) in this world and we chose to fart on an already blazing fire.
His act was a true fart. USELESS. Even if I am wrong about the true intentions behind this action, the Palestine / Israel problem causes violence and hate in the heart of brothers. This is what we do! We open our big mouth in the name justice and democracy and freedom and other American bullcrap without even thinking of the consequences that matter. Children, innocent women and men who just want to live their lives peacefully are further pulled away from a peaceful solution because of us. Of course we don't care! Americans will not be the ones touched by fear in the end. I find it disgusting and embarrassing because do you know who will suffer the most in the end ??? Israel and Palestine. America's actions will have minor consequences on Americans ( except maybe lowering our oil prices and allow us to continue selling weapons to Israel).
The ONLY problem I have with this give away, is it was a GIVE-AWAY.. There WERE things to be had IF Trump used it as a bargaining chip.. But, he GAVE IT AWAY!!! I thought Trump was a better negotiator than that.. No, huh?
