Progressives trash quotes from Obama’s SOTU when they think it’s Trump’s
On Friday, Campus Reform uploaded a video in which Cabot Phillips catches people in their biases. In the video, Phillips reads excerpts from a State of the Union address to people on the street. Here’s the twist — the people on the street believe the lines are from Trump’s recent SOTU when they are actually from former-President Obama’s.
To transcribe the results would rob you of the joy of seeing progressive bias get shredded.

since no sane person would ever believe that race is a hierarchy or that crime is caused by blacks Blacks commit more crime statistically than all other races by far. It's not because of their skin color but because of the backward African culture. Blacks who escape the culture or rise above it actually do quite well. It saddens me to say it, but white liberals have enabled and made excuses for this backward culture because they need blacks to fail, otherwise white liberals lose their purpose and meaning to life. It's comparable to spouses who intentionally poison their mate to keep them from leaving and to keep their mate dependent on them. 1

What a fascinating video, thanks for sharing! Here's a similar video, but with Trump supporters praising Hitler quotes thinking that they're from the Donald himself: Partisan politics makes fools of us all. Logic and reason go to the wayside in favor of in-group interest. Further, I suspect that both sides are interviewing 100 people and showing the 5-10 stupidest. EDIT: After watching the Trump supporter interviews, they look completely fake (though I wouldn't want to categorically state that they are). 1

Exactly. It's why videos like this are completely pointless. They're taking quotes out of context and directly telling someone that they're from a different person. If those quotes don't literally say "I want to burn all black people" or something to that extent, the person hearing them is going to put them into their own context based on Obama/Trump/Hitler/whoever. I don't think the Trump supporters in that video are fake, but they're definitely chosen specifically out of a variety of interviews (though 100 is far too many, as a trainee journalist you can take my word for it that 100 interviews is far beyond what we have time for, lmao). |
