Quality Education can only be provided by expensive schools?

In order to give out quality education you need quality teachers - unfortunately the demand of quality teachers exceeds the supply, so the price is high.

I would disagree that quality teachers are the only thing that can lead to quality education. If we had an effective teaching system, a mediocre teacher could easily give a student a quality education. It also depends on the student, the environment around the school, motivation to learn/teach, etc..

And an expensive school doesn't mean that it will have quality teachers.

And an expensive school doesn't mean that it will have quality teachers.

I didn't imply that expensive schools will have quality teachers, I said quality teaching needs quality teachers, and quality teachers are expensive. So therefore my point was that a quality school IS expensive, however that doesn't mean all expensive schools give quality education. They might have other priorities that don't include quality teaching.

If we had an effective teaching system, a mediocre teacher could easily give a student a quality education.

You can't give out knowledge that you don't have, a mediocre teacher can teach on a mediocre level.

The price is high especially when people of my IQ and personality are the teachers? Well thank you very much, glad you think I'm a pricey teacher.

Yes, it's a double whammy. In the main the best teachers go where they will receive the best salary and, as the number of parents able to afford the higher school fees is relatively low so shall the class sizes be smaller. This means that pupils attending an expensive school will receive more individual attention from the best teachers available.

I have known people who are amazing stupid yet they have graduated from expensive schools yet I have known many very smart successful people that have a high school education only or have gone to a community college. Education is nothing more than a structured study of the chosen subjects. Anyone who wants to learn about any subject could study independently and achieve the same level of education as offered by a high priced school.

How would you know if they received the proper education if they don't have a degree to show for it?

The issue is that you can't base a person's intellect or ability on a degree. It much more telling to spend a little time getting to know the person you will get a much better indication of the intellect and ability of that person than a piece of paper. And going to an expensive school just shows how much money your parents were able to spend on you not how smart or able you are.
