Why are and were so many ancient cities under water pre industrial revolution? Because there is both natural climate change and manmade climate change. Why is the current climate the correct one? It's not necessarily the optimal one but it is relatively stable and accommodates life as we know it. Do ice caps get bigger and smaller naturally over the course of time? Yes but that process can be accelerated by certain gases in the atmosphere trapping heat on the earth's surface Do underwater volcanoes explain any ice melts and temperature rises in the oceans? Maybe. But volcanoes don't change the fact that science hates you.
Are we simply in a part of the climate shift where temperatures rise naturally due to the tilt changing of the Earth over time? No. If temperatures have slightly risen, is this current, mildy risen temperature, better or worse than when it was a degree cooler? Why or why not? You're not thinking long term enough.
