Regardless of who is the next president, are you happy G.W.B. is out of office?

I love how since the presidential elections are coming up there have been no more debates about what G.W.B. is doing in office, so that leads me to believe that people on this website, regardless of who becomes the next president, will just be happy that G.W.B. is no longer the president of the USA. Am I correct?

There will be no greater day in the history of the US, or at least for as long as I have been alive. Bush has disgraced our country and our values. His issues, which got out the "value vote" in 2004 were not my values, by any stretch of the imagination. He has disregarded the Constitution on plenty of occasions and has single-handedly RUINED our perception abroad.

He has done irreparable damage. It will be good to have him gone.

YES!!! I look forward to the day when history writes what I've known for 8 long years...that he was the worst President in our history and that the country has not been this distrustful since Nixon and Watergate! Good riddance!

Side: It will be a very HAPPY day

You have to have balls to vote this down...did you get that the question asked for an opinion? Well that's mine, now go lick your spoon.

Under Bush we've moved from having the greatest surplus, to the greatest defecit in U.S. history.

At no time in any of our lifetimes has the U.S. had such goodwill worldwide, and were so united as a country as after 911. Bush squandered that with a completely unjustifiable war, by lying to a nation and the world about WMDs and links to terrorists. Now we have never been so divided as a country since the Civil War, and never has the opinion of foreign countries of us, including allies, been so low.

At the very least you would think we would be safer.

We are not.

At the very least you would think Osama Bin Laden would be dead.

He is not.

No President has horded for himself more power, and no President has so abused that power allowed him.

The U.S. throughout our bespeckled history has always, always been able to hold our heads high, take the moral and less traveled road of not torturing our enemies, with what almost seemed a whim Bush blackened that part of our collective soul, and now we must live with it and be judged for it.

Just as Bush bankrupted every company he touched, so he has bankrupted the greatest nation in the history of mankind. That is the legacy he is left with, and that is the legacy he has left for us. He is the worst President in U.S. history. None other started with so much, and left us with so little. And we are to blame, though I never voted for him once, we all elected him twice.

So then if he is the worst President, perhaps we are the worst people.

It is too late for him to change what has become of his Presidency, but it is not too late for us to change the direction of our country, and to salvage ourselves as one nation, that truly believes in liberty for her people, and a better world for our children.

Obama '08!

You mean to tell me that all this time it was Bush who was president?

I thought it was Cheney.

Side: yes

He caused the economic recession and started two wars in the Middle East.

George bush ruined a lot of things, he dragged us into a war that we had no right to even go into, because of a "hunch" from our intelligence teams about WMDs,and is not pulling out our troops from the war. Also, he made a record deficit,

We had no right to be in that war? Looking for Alcaeda was not our right? So we should have just sat back after 9/11 and let the terrorists slide by without invading their territory after they caused so many deaths and injuries?! I agree that we should have pulled out from that war after Bin Laden was captured, but saying that we had no right to be involved in the first place is just plain ignorance!

Altarion, not even Faux is still claiming Iraq had ties to terrorists, are you?

As for Afghanistan, every liberal, democrat, conservative, republican, and independent is for it. Obama is the only one of the two candidates that has clearly stated time and time again that we need more troops there, and we need to finally at long last catch Osama. McCain has not touched the issue, nor has our lame-duck President for years.

ok yeah your right, point taken, but you do realize he did have the record deficit, right?

I can't say i trust Obama at all, so odds are i'm gonna miss George if Obama wins. If McCain wins though... hell, I'll be happy as fuck that Bush is gone.

but then again, i can't predict the future. maybe Obama or McCain could surprise me.

I think if obama wins, he'll have some cleaning up to do. I don't like the way that he plans to do it, although Mccain isnt doing much either...

I support Bush. Not many do. It is a true statistic that many internet users are Democrat. This site is no exception.

However, I will be glad I dont have to listen to Bush bashing every day on the news, in class, ect.

I don't have a political affiliation, that being said, it's not that bush is a bad person, or even that he's stupid... its that he made some bad desisions...

Odd. I'm curious which of Bush's policies and actions you support? And for what reason.

You do realize that the scope of Bush's unpopularity goes beyond the realm of the internet? He has an approval rating of between 20 and 30% according to every non-internet poll.

This is one of the lowest in history. Do you think it's just a fad or something, that even Republicans have abandoned him for the most part? Maybe there's something to his unpopularity, and a reason for all the bashing?

I really am curious to know exactly what about his Presidency specifically you've enjoyed. Or is it just the fact that he's a Republican? And you have a little elephant logo as your avatar?
