You can't say " No it's not religion, it;s what people do." Oh yeah? And why, might I ask, do people do that? Religious motivation. Someone is brainwashed in to loving their specific deity so much, they are willing to go to war to prove the other wrong. Also convinced what they are doing is God's will. Think, if religion didn't exist, these people would be murderers, rapists, serial killers, and just psychopaths in general. But in a world with ever growing religious tolerance ( to an extent..) these people are called monks, Rabbi's, Priests, Profits, e.t.c. Atheist goes around saying " You're all going to burn!" People say he;'s insane. Religious person says the same, and " They're entitled to their views.." And these people are all running around disagreeing with each other and killing people over their beliefs. I am not saying get rid of religion, that is ridiculous. But I am responding to the debate statement, that religion causes more wars than anything else. And I agree. Side: I agree.

And yours did? If I present an argument saying murder is wrong, do I have to also give you a nice little link to Wikipedia proving so? Do I have to shoot your family to make a point that murder is wrong? No. If I was giving out facts and statistics, I would provide links as to where I got them from, showing a reliable source. But I know, that in normal society, the major religions are always at war. 9/11 was religiously motivated, the crusades, Roman persecution of Christians, the dark ages ( so called the 'dark' ages for a reason..) Nazi persecution of the Jews, and others, Lebanese civil war, English reformation ( thousands persecuted and made to switch religion constantly.) And for the cream on the cake: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europeanwarsofreligion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religiouswar Satisfied? Now present your argument please. With supporting evidence. And be sure to make your point, obviously me saying " Religions clash" wasn't sharp enough for you. Side: I agree.
And I think it's lazy, just going on to a website and copying information from there and saying " look at this" instead of forming an argument of your own... You can post as many links as you want saying most wars weren't religious, but you would have still lost the argument, as you would have put little effort in to it. Side: I agree.

Call me biased but I personally disagree. There have been more wars fighting for land or for political power. I'm not going to deny it, there have been wars fighting about religion and I realize that but the majority of wars or battles where not about religion. Side: I disagree.
