You'd think so, but in actual fact the reality doesn't quite work that way in practice. Democracy results in a dictatorship too. Through more complex mechanisms, sure, but it ends up at the same stop.

I don't think it's democracy that results in dictatorship, it's a democracy that allows itself to be taken over by capitalists and/or "a" religion. (i.e. Russia, which headed toward democracy, but, allowed the budding capitalism to take over the government).

A "strong-man" leader supported by the ones with the money. That could, but wont, be called "Trumpism", but it will someday be named for some leader … which Trump is not.
