I disagree because there is other music like country, rap, hip hop, and various other music.

First you must prove music taste can be objectively measured, then can we debate which is the “right” music.

i totaly disagree to this because... rock is not the only music left to listen on earth.... many more choices to be a fan of...!!!

I disagree. The only genre we can objectively critique as bad is pop, but that's because it's not so much a genre as a fad, a trend, a money-grubbing tool for label-owning suits. That's what the "genre" of pop is defined by; not by any consistent aspect of the music, like all other genres, but by it's financial success and popularity. In all other genres you see vast degrees of talent and skill. Saying all rap is easy to make is like pointing out that some rock doesn't involve anything you wouldn't learn in a Guitar 101 class. Except it's not an absolute statement that ignores the fact that some rap requires a great deal of talent and years of accumulated skill to produce.

It only may be so for a person, but not for everyone or even for majority. No one should not persist his tastes, because we live all together with different tastes. I like Rock, also i listen to pop sometimes, so i disagree with that point of view.
