Rules for debating
Recently, I've been told that the best way to respond to a debate is to state your side and then ask questions if you have any. I was told I had to do this, in way or another, regardless of whether or not you are one of the first people to respond or if the debate has already been there for a while. I think it's ok for anyone to go straight to questioning if they wish or only make assertions. What are your thoughts

I hesitate to put this under the "yes there are" for rules but I think the best debates, or the ones you can get more from, is to give the reason for the debate, your stance and why you think that way. Now, you don't HAVE to, but if you want people to actually engage your debates you need to give them a general direction and let it bloom from there. Side: Yes there are
