To All: First, I would like to thank all of the members of CreateDebate especially the regulars! You are the people who make the site what it is and I am grateful for all of your support. In the spirit of sharing, I would like to respond to all of your posts here: 1. I didn't build the site from scratch...I bought it (almost two years ago) from a small group of individuals who had created it as part of an MBA program. I had a similar idea and figured someone had already done it. While I wish I could say I am a founder, sadly I cannot. 2. I am a Republican. Why? primarily for economic reasons. I would say I am more liberal than most republicans on all other topics. 3. I do have a passion for the site and it's purpose. If you think about life, it is all about diversity. Diversity of thought. This is a place to not just capture that diversity, but preserve it as well. 4. I find it very difficult to be the moderator. The reason is not the "cleaning" part, but the decision on the fine line of free speech vs. something that falls beyond that line. I would like to call it unfiltered social debating. 5. I love debating and as some have pointed out, I try to share my opinion without the appearance of taking sides. I try to admit when someone has a viewpoint I didn't think about. Once in a while, I will go take a more polarized position. 6. I am the "bot" that sends all people who join the site a welcome message, but I am also the "in person" moderator. 7. The "drinking toddler" pic is a pic of me with an empty beer bottle on my Great Grandfather's knee. 8. Features...we try to roll out new features when we can. Some work well...some don't. we listen and try to address requests (Hellno, the argument issues should be fixed!) ...(Hellno, the extra media functionality isn't added yet..). But we are constantly doing something to the site. We will be adding petitions, Facebook and google login and trying to speed the site up as well by moving hosting partners. We hope to do all of that before the end of the year. i also have some new cools features I am looking at...more to come. Thank you ALL again! Andy 3

Andy... I don't even know where to begin. I have such an insane amount of respect for you. You are definitely one of my favorite users on the site. And you keep everything running on CD. I love that you have so much passion for this site and spend so much of your time and money on it. I LOVE that about you. I also love that you let us do as we please on the site without over-moderating. Thank you SO much for all you do for us Andy :) I really appreciate it. 2

I came to CD after being banned for life from another site that is heavily moderated so I can really appreciate the way Andy runs things. He keeps the moderation to a minimum and best of all he cares for the users and listens to their suggestions. Thanks Andy, for all you do. 2

He is one of the best creators on this site without Andy this debate site wouldn't be here. He has been doing a lot for this debate site and all the rest of the debaters contribute to helping this site grow. Andy deserves the most respect on here because of this site and he could do anything and make any changes necessary 1
