School
What do you NOT miss/are going to not miss the most about grade school? (1st-12th)
I'm a senior and I have about three weeks of school left, then I'm done(except for collage of course). I wan't to make a long long list of specific things that I hated, will not miss, and will never have to worrie about ever again.
I'll tell you what I wont miss, The people that start shit for no reason. The people that disrespect teachers until they are visibly upset. The school system that makes a high schooler wear an identification card and if you forget it you have to A) buy a new one and B) go to a detention The kids that dip right in the middle of class, or the kids that come in with a hangover, or those funny kids that are higher than satellites. Yea! Back in 10th grade Spanish, we had a substitute, and this one chick in class thinks she's so awesome that she was being an annoying twat and she pissed off the substitute. And that pissed off our teacher and she gave the whole class detention for the twats rude behavior. And that is the only time I ever had detention... and it wasn't even my fault. Ridiculous. :-) Side: All of the above
non flexible schedules hoping for schools to close because of ice or snow and being disappointed pep rallies busy work being graded on crossword puzzles teenagers jerks that are incredibly mean to substitute teachers first day back from Christmas break -ouch or should I say "Winter Break" PC crap "what homework?" and then thinking "crap" seeing kids on their school laptops playing online video games while their parents are probably at work hoping they are getting a good education cell phone rings in the middle of class, teacher takes it up paying $15 to get it back summer ending in the middle of August sharpening pencil using that old piece of crap thing that you have to crank on, then it breaks the freaking pencil getting ipod taken up by a vice principal paying $15 to get it back state testing group-work, when everybody thinks "oh he's smart he will do all the work" liberal teachers (I'm going to BYU Idaho) yeah, I think you get the idea Side: All of the above
Oh man, that reminds me... the stupid state tests. I joined a SAT study class after school 2x a week for about a month, to prepare for the official SAT test. And one week before the actual test, I found out I was suppose to have actually bought the test way in the beginning when the class started. I went to all those classes for goddamn nothing. But hey, at least I got free snacks. Side: All of the above

We all feel it man. Be like me, don't go to any lame university/college programs, find a decent enjoyable easy job that pays 12$ a hour (u look like u can find one). That's what I am doing right now, a much better life than 99.999993801% of people on this planet.. You seem to be study in this "damn I have to study" rhelm. I am out of it and I am now enjoying life like those cool kids always have been. Side: All of the above
As sad as it'll sound, I don't miss my fellow classmates. They all sucked. I keep in touch with like 5 people, but that's about it. I also don't miss being stuck on campus for 8 hours. Screw that crap. And I also don't miss the 73 degrees classrooms that were so cold I felt like sleeping the WHOLE damn time. And this wasn't a simple problem of "Just bring a jacket" because it was even too cold when it was 100 degrees outside and it would be lame to bring a jacket. Side: All of the above

I got a few weeks left until I'm out for good and I wont miss the feeling of contempt for anything school related. I avoid all after school activity's not just because of the terrifying resemblance an empty school has to a hospital. I just hate being there I only have to pass 2 of my six classes so for most of the day nothing is accomplished. When I'm in a class I need to pass we spend a long time on a single thing that doesn't need that much time to cover. I read for most of the time in class now and still manage to keep up with whats going on. I'm in a completely different world, but thanks to the snail's pace of the class its not very hard to keep up. I spend more time complaining about having to show up at all then doing work. Which I guess is a good thing since if it were the other way around I wouldn't have as much time to think. The only thing I will miss is the time I got to spend thinking about the world, but compared with the things I won't miss it isn't that important. School is a curse of free time. I won't miss it. Where'd you go Jake? Never saw this reply. Oh, what I will NOT miss. I won't miss free lunch. My parents were poor and I didn't know I was eating for free until some kids made fun of me for it. Then I started working part time after practice at a hotel cleaning rooms... yeah a housekeeper. But I made enough to pay for lunch and buy new basketball shoes because as a freshman I was made fun of because I got my basketball shoes from Payless. Don't worry though, by my senior year I won best looking, cutest couple (she was hot, and a preacher's daughter ironically), 3rd for best athlete, smartest and... least likely to succeed. Guess after four years they still didn't have confidence in a broke kid who wore Payless shoes and ate free lunch ;) Side: remembering what I miss most
I'm going to miss the safety I've had, where I had come home every night to my parents and siblings. I'll miss being dependent on others. Even though being independent is nice, it also entails bills, a job, responsibility, etc. And you may have 3 weeks left in Texas, but in NJ, public school has at least 6 weeks left near me. Luckily for me, I go to a Catholic school that lets seniors out really early. I have 1 exam left (AP Bio) and I will graduate on Wednesday! Side: remembering what I miss most
Oh shoot... sorry. I'm not going to miss some of the people that either go to my school or live in my town. My town is full of JAPs (Jewish-American princesses, meaning they're spoiled and most happen to be Jewish. lol) My school also has a lot of rich people. I'm not super rich, but my parents allow me to have a comfortable lifestyle. I just kind of get sick of these super rich kids who have hockey rinks in their houses (yes one of them does). I'm also not going to miss detentions. I don't get them often, but my school gives you lunch detention for forgetting a book in class, but it depends on the teacher. I miss aboslutely nothing about school. In my mind, the word "school" is closedly associated with Trouble, Pain, Murder, Torment, Weakness, Desperation, Insecurity, oh and Virgin. Say no to school friends, say yes to future. Say no to school friends, say Yes to your life. Side: remembering what I miss most
