I personally think we should. Im 17, i have my lip and tongue pierced. I had to do it without parental consent. I went to a place that didn't check ID's as long as you had the money. I am planning on getting my back piece done this summer. Were going to do it anyways, why stop us now? Seriously

No. They are minors and can't think rationally about the subject matter.

That and tattoos interest me, I love seeing crazy tattoos and original ones. My brother for instance has a tribal tattoo that was done by traditional bone needle out in American Samoa.

Even though tattoos will be with the person forever, it is the person who obtained the tattoo to take responsibility for his/her actions. Despite them being 16 or 18.

Is there a law? Because I am a little confused. If there is not, then yes, 16 year old people should be allowed to get a tattoo as long as there is consent from parents.

Yeah, I think it should be allowed with the consent of a parent or guardian. But personally I would wait on the tattoos. Piercings can be taken out, but tattoos are much more permanent!! I know I wanted a few tattoos and piercings when I was 16, but now have no interest in getting them. So I suggest you be careful and only get tattoos you're certain you're going to want later :)

I think that people under the age of 16 should be able to get tattos/body peircings because it is their body and they should be able to choose what they want to do with it.

It's more personal it entirely depends upon the family of the child and the child himself to decide upon having a tattoo
