Of course, this is some of the best world news in the last year.

Another dictator bites the dust.

Yes, but not because he is an "evil" person nor because he should pay for what he has done yadda yadda, but we should celebrate the fact that the people not killed or dead under his regime now has a chance of a better quality of life =P

Depends, it might just make it worse with North Korea vs. South Korea. However, North Korea is a spoiled brat and they will bash South Korea and their allies. Go ahead if you want to celebrate, but he didn't do a thing to the U.S. other then give us a head ache. I say South Korea has the upmost right to celebrate, they have lost many civilians and soldiers to the North.

The idea that everyone human life is precious may be true in some sense or at some time during each individuals lifespan. However, this man was horribly evil, he was a lost cause and quite frankly its a great thing he died.

I don't think anybody should celebrate the death of a person, no matter how 'evil' they were.

I have to disagree. Had I have lived during the time of Hitler's death I would have celebrated his death then. When the death of one man saves the lives of millions, that I think is time for celebration if any there was one. I do not celebrate the death of Kim Jong Il because North Koreans still live under totalitarian rule and his son may be just as bad, although I am glad there is one less dictator in the world.

The death of mass murderers and dictators does merit celebration because their death means the lives of others.

I guess we just see the world differently as, personally, I see the value in every humans life, though I can see where you are coming from but I'm not sure if the death of Hitler (in favorable Nazi circumstances) would have lead to the Nazi regime instantly coming to a grinding halt.

That isnt enough a reason for you or anyone to kill him. In doing so your being a hypocrite. You arent avenging any deaths since they stay dead anyways. If you can resurect all the innocent victims then we can talk.

Exaxtly.

Anyone who supports the death of another person is a sadistic fuck. On top of that people aren't worth shit in authority this includes world leaders so the perogative isn't yours to take life away. Unless you can give the man his life back dont celebrate it!

If I am a sadistic fuck who is glad to see a dictator dead, then what does that make Kim Jong Il, who is responsible for many deaths of North Koreans?

Side: yes

It makes him a monster. But by celebrating death, think about it, you're thinking in a sadistic way even if you're not as evil as he was. I understand that people feel relieved with his death but to celebrate it? No hun, now youre just being primitive. Evil is evil in acts big or small. Youre not exactly being a better person by rejoicing in someyones death.
