Should Britain join the EU or the USA?
Britain is perhaps the most sceptical member of the European Union but why? It wants to hold on to sovereignty which is noble and understanadble but if it came down to picking a side, which one should we choose and why?

Of course when I say 'join' I do not mean become the 51st state but rather "throw our lot in with them". I must say that in the past European powers have been at war with each other but that's because all of the superpowers were located in one small area (i.e. Europe) with China and India becoming increasingly powerful and other nations such as Russia, Brazil and South Korea gaining more power than the UK, it seems logical that the UK must seek to give up at least some sovereignty as opposed to holding on to this idea that we will become the world's greatest empire again. Screw the both of them, Britain did better than either of them ever could. EU: thsi would fail as throughout history European countries have always been against each other, the idea of uniting just to beat other powerful countries will never work. USA:How ironic, USA used to be part of the British Empire and now people are thinking we should join them? Side: Neither
