According to http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/viewresource.asp?resourceID=000141, "The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS -- or by the harsh drugs sometimes used to treat them. And it can do so with remarkable safety. Indeed, marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day."

Facts have clearly shown that marijuana is not dangerous.

it cant kill you unless you smoke 2 tons in under 15 minutes.

Marijuana is Americas LARGEST cash crop.

the hemp industry would create thousands of jobs if it were to be legalized and taxed appropriately along side alcohol(which can kill you) and tobacco(also kills)

http://www.drugscience.org/Archive/bcr2/ cashcrops.html

At an estimated $35.8 billion marijuana is by far the largest cash crop in the United States when compared to the average production values of other crops from 2003 to 2005. (Production values for other crops were obtained from the Department of Agriculture. [22])

gangs would lose tons of money if marijuana were to be legalized. Gangs don't go around profiting off of cigarettes and alcohol, because you can purchase it from a store!

I dont see any thing wrong with marijuana, i just dont think it should be legal. you said " gangs would lose tons of money if marijuana were to be legalized." This is true. BUT they would resort to worse drugs such as crack, cocain and heroin.

I think it should be legalized along with smoking. Tobacco companies make cigarettes much worse than marijuana is. I knew there were a lot of potheads in the world, but I never knew so many people smoked it until I started college. There are so many people that tell me "I saw this movie when I was high," "I'm high right now," and "I'm going out to smoke a joint." And honestly, even though I have no desire to inhale smoke of any form, I don't see how it's worse than what the tobacco companies have done to cigarettes.

I even think drinking is worse than marijuana! :p

But I think pot should be legalized to anyone of legal smoking age. (Hence, why I say "no")
