I'm thankful that God counts me worthy to be pestered by fools and faggoty people.

You should be worried about that... I wouldn't prefer people always thanking imaginary entities anywhere near me... but you're lucky that I have an appropriate treatment ready for you.

You'll be... born again.

I'm thankful for you in that God counts me worthy to be pestered by you because I love Him and you hate Him.

I'm not a Christian but I do think you should appreciate everything. This is because hardship and suffering build character and make you stronger. It's easier said than done though.

Good for you. You understand the goodness of thankfulness. Time is a gift we do not deserve, every moment of our existence could be worse as long as we are not burning in a consuming fire.

I heard something of a study which showed thankfulness is the root of happiness.......something like that; a most basic attitude require for being well adjusted.

Yes, the Bible is clear, a real Christian is commanded to be thankful for all things and in all things, no matter how bad it might seem.

And what is the truth which you think is being hidden? Do you know this truth, and can you communicate it to others? Please tell.

Christianity should be thankful for America. The country that woke them up from their dreams of religious persecution, of dominance. The country that gave them a showplace for the good parts of their religion ... with a constitution that was designed to block their bad parts. America is the same for Islam and any other religion. A place that's not about to become "ruled" by any one religion .... I hope!

Those qualities are under siege at the moment. The Evangelical movement is dangerous to our Constitution. Hopefully it will be contained.

You missed the point. The Bible teaches that we are supposed to give thanks in all things which includes bad things as well as good things, and to give thanks for all things which includes bad things as well as good things......and that our giving of thanks is to be to God, thanking Him always for and in all things.

Try to stay on topic.

And I think that is a wonderful thought. I didn't "miss the point", I simply made another point off it. One that I think has to be considered. I can't see the "giving thanks for bad things", I can't see blindly following a "book" (written by MAN), that says I must , or should, thank a god for bad things. I consider that radicalism.

By the way, Allah seems to be the SAME god, since it is aligned with a man named Jesus, also. That religion thinks Sharia Law is a good thing. Different book, (written by MAN), same god, different teachings by Jesus. Sorry, I won't follow either unless I (we) get a clarifying message directly from one god or the other ... he seems to make things "very clear" in the mode of our virtual President. Very clear seem to be only to a few that understand!? If I will not "worship" (on a different level, of course), a President who does bad things, How can I worship a god who does bad things? Why would I? Because I am afraid of what he will do to me?? Sorry, I will not worship, or follow, out of fear ... I will fight against "bad things"!

I am "on topic", I just am not a follower without reason.

I want you to know that you are on very thin ice and it's going to break at any moment and you will be banned.

Too bad for you that you have one foot in the grave, and the other on thin ice melting over the fire of Hell, isn't it? Yep.

Let's just say for this discussion, the ice melted through and you fell out.

Job had lots of complaints but he decided to quit complaining when God called him out.

Job 42:1-6

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Job is an allegorical story.

God knew Job before he was ever born.

He then recieves the amount we recieve in Heaven as our reward as his reward.

He was brought to Earth to prove he loved God when it was all taken from him.

This gave god a non abstract value for Job's Heavenly love. Prove me wrong.

You sure have a lot of mumbo jumbo. The Bible says you are supposed to be thankful in and for all things. Are you being thankful in and for all things? Do you thank God for difficulties, like Job should have been doing from day one if his heart was right with God?
