Should Democrats run from Obama or defend him?

Should Democrats running for office this election distance themselves from Obama, or try to defend Obama's Presidency?

When Democrats allowed Obama to bend their arms & pass Obamacare, they sealed their fate. They are total idiots putting Obama and their socialistic ideology ahead of the people.

If they are already going to be associated with Obamacare - then it won't help to run, correct?

Therefore, might it be better to highlight the positives:

10 million fewer uninsured

Eliminating denials based on pre-existing conditions

Eliminating recessions of coverage when a person becomes sick

Removal of lifetime and annual caps

Preventative tests without co-pay

The rate of growth for the cost of healthcare is falling

etc. etc.

Oh and lets include $750,000,000,000 taken from Medicare

People unable to keep their doctors

Healthcare costs still rising

Insurance costs rising

Emergency Rooms more crowded than ever before

Doctors unable to make a living practicing medicine

Yeah just great for sure.

In politics it always boils down to what gives you the best chance to win. If Obama's numbers stay down like they are you will see them(democratic nominees) distance themselves. part of the reason the Republicans lost the last two elections is because they were not able to distance themselves away from Bush. After the 2008 recession Bush's numbers were way down. And let's face it. Economics decide elections more than anything else.

The Democrats should remain loyal to their President. During the 2014 Congressional elections, a considerable amount of Democrats shied away from the President but the majority of those Congressional Reps lost their seats anyway.

P.S. - bad timing on your part... The Dow Is Up 500 Points In 48 Hours

More generally: gas prices are an indicator, not the cause. They reflect increased efficiency, shifts to other energy sources, increased supply (US has increased production and OPEC is keeping supply high) and poor demand in other countries (Russia, Europe, etc.) - It is not a negative reflection on the US; if anything it shows the strength of our recovery relative to other countries. It also shows that our sanctions on Russia are working.

The 2014 deficit ($486 Billion) is lower than the 2008 deficit (over $500 Billion in inflation adjusted dollars).

Don't tell me that you are one of those idiots that doesn't know the difference between the deficit and the debt...

Also, not only is the deficit down by nearly 70%, but inflation is low and the dollar has gotten stronger relative to most other major currencies, so apparently printing was the way to go (especially in the absence of a productive legislature.)
