Should Facebook Accept Polygamy?
So, on facebook you can't be in two relationships at once. Why not? Is this wrong? Should facebook allow you to be in two or more relationships?

Actually, this could make for interesting drama when an airhead thinks "Now I can put both of my girlfriends on here! Finally, I don't have to choose one!" but neither girlfriend knew about the other one! ;) And besides, facebook is not a purely American website or a purely European website, etc. It is a global website that should allow polygamy because it is practiced in different parts of the world. Side: Sure.
Keep in mind that the relationship status on Facebook is not limited to marriage. People can be married, divorced, and widowed at the same time. Allow keep in mind that there is the status "open relationship" meaning that the person is not in a very serious with one single person and may date others. If they want to ban having your status say that yo are married to multiple people then I have no problem with that, but they should add multiple relationships for those open relationships and for those who fall under multiple categories. Side: Sure.

I think facebook SHOULD allow polygamy because there are some people who do practise polygamy and they would like to be able to show the world via facebook the people they are dating with pride and with the same rights that monogamous people have. Plus, just because facebook lets me add as many partners as I want it doesn't mean that I will automatically start dating other 3 guys. I'm currently in a monogamous long term relationship and I wouldn't want it to be any different. As a matter of fact I believe it's not moral to be dating several people at once, that's why I don't do it, but I don't mind other people doing it, because let's face it who am I to try to impose my thoughts/ moral/ religion to other people? Wake up, the middle age is over. Side: Sure.

"Polygamy is illegal in the administrative sense, but it's plenty legal for someone to be in as many relationships as they wish." Oh yeah thats right I was thinking marriage. "Also, so what if polygamy is illegal? Is facebook a government run entity? No." Well my point was that our society and most societies don't really accept it so why should facebook? It's weird. Why should the people at facebook work to make a change that a select minority wants? I'm telling you, this is the kind of thing "it's complicated" is for. (; I'm still waiting for my dislike button. (; Side: No....
Definitely 'NO' in my opinion. Because billions of people using face book this time and you can never guess about their ages. First point polygamy is certainly an illegal act in some countries like India,Pakistan etc. Polygamy is allowed, under certain circumstances in countries that are Muslim religious but not in all Muslim countries. In secular Muslim countries such as Turkey, it isn't allowed. Second point it's a social networking site, people get here for different purposes like business dealing friendships chatting etc but not for marrying. If anyone practicing this he/she will defiantly think for several time before doing this and thus it can be emerged some cases of fraud resulting Face book prestige down. Thus in my opinion Face book never accept Polygamy. :) Side: No....
Ok sure if you dont know them in real life then dont get into a relationship with them in the first place it is a social networking site and those people who arent online for getting married or getting in a relationship WONT DO IT ANYWAY! seriously its not like facebook is forcing you into a relationship if you dont like it dont do it Side: Sure.
