Should Film/Video-Game Ratings Be Loosened?
With a modern society, where sex, drugs and violence are a part of youth culture, should ratings be loosened to keep up with modernisation. Or should they stay as they are, or become stricter still to try and combat problems with the modern demographic of youths.

What harm could it possibly do? Ratings are largely ignored anyway. I challenge anyone to go online and try to play Call Of Duty without minors in the lobby. I'd do away with them all together. It is futile to restrict the forbidden fruit, as it only increases temptation. Ratings serve no purpose other than to make minors feel tough about themselves. Side: Yes, they are too strict
I doubt that my imagination in childhood was as perverse as they get; so, from what I've seen with my real eyes on the television screen, and what my mind's eye has seen, I'll have to go with answering this question in the affirmative. As brutally violent and sexual as they may be (I don't really think that they are, though), the human mind will conceive of things far worse - unless stagnated by the seemingly "most horrific" images seen on the TV. They need to be changed to keep up with changing attitudes. People tend to be cooler about kids watching nudity, swearing and sex on screen now. It is great that more and more parents now are happy for their children to access this material! They know it does them no harm at all. I suppose many know that they see worse on the internet! In fact the internet has done so much good, as it shows that censoring this type of stuff is stupid and pointless. Lower the ratings! Side: Yes, they are too strict
