Homework should be banned for several reasons; one being negative attitudes towards school. According to "https://www.independent.co.uk", "Many people see disadvantages in homework - it can increase negative attitudes to school and motivation."

Doing homework will make you develop academic skills alone, while at the same time using your time wisely to engage better with the subject matter.

Even though homework helps with self discipline it also causes stress. Many students are forced to do homework for an unnecessary amount of time a week.In 1929, a leading education journal asked "Is homework necessary?" after a survey found that 11-year-olds were doing between one and 12 hours a week and those over 11 between 7.5 and 20 hours. (The Government proposes just over four hours for 11-year-olds and up to 12.5 for secondary pupils.)

When students don't do homework they are the ones to most likely get a zero or not understand what's going on in their next test.Homework also helps students' grades go higher when they aren’t doing so well.

As I have mentioned students spend to much time on homework. When the students struggles with the work most of the time the parent cant help due to change in lesson plans and skills as schools develop throughout the year.Recent studies suggest that parents who spend hours helping their children with homework may be misguided. One found mothers' help had no effect on children's achievement. Another, from London University's Institute of Education, suggested that middle-class parents who help with homework may worsen family tension by comparing siblings.

Students are force to go to school for 7-8 hours a day on top of that they spend 2 hours at home on school work. That is just a punishment.2 hours of homework is a punishment after sitting 8 hours in class. Going outside, dedicating time to friends, attending hobby clubs, helping parents, and, yes, watching TV and playing games make kids feel kids. Teachers should provide them with more free time.

Hi Leslie I won and I have a list of reasons why

1.I just did

this one is really reasonable because it is short and sweet

everyone likes think short and sweet

like cake

or or cupcakess......

oh oh umm...... short people

that one wasnt that good but you get the point

2. I had a strong word choice..... most of the time..../

See words are words no one likes them...

EXCEPT THEY DO

because no words mean no talk

unless your deaf...

then i guess you can

BUT

words are still important because your not deaf

and no one here is deaf

so they are communicatioon so

i win.....

I think Homework shouldn't be banned because it helps students work independently and develop self discipline.
