Should Ice Cream Trucks Be Banned?
Many of us look back fondly on our childhood summers, remembering how our parents would buy us an ice cream cone when the ice cream man came around. Well, parents in crunchy Park Slope, Brooklyn, want to put an end to the days of sugar and sun.
Members of the Park Slope Parents online group are tired of their kids having fits when they say "no" to a cone, The New York Post reports. "Along with the first truly beautiful day of the year, my son and I had our first ruined day at the playground," the poster named Sarah somberly recounted. "Two different people came into the actual playground with ice cream/Italian ice push carts. I was able to avoid it for a little while but eventually I left with a crying 4-year-old."
We hate to break it to these parents, but if their kids are playing outside in the summer and eating a healthy diet most of the time, a little ice cream is not going to hurt them. At least one Park Slope parent agrees with us. "I think they’re crazy," Lynette Barenboyn told the Post. What do you think?

I always remember the ice cream truck coming around when I was a kid and I would be waiting for a long time. I would hear those bells from a distance and I would get very excited. Summers were made special because of the ice cream man. So, don't take the fun away from the kids. Side: No
