The island of Ireland is divided into 2 separate countries as people say, Northern Ireland is in the northern part of the island, while Ireland (the Republic of Ireland) is on the opposite or southern part of the island, southern is the opposite of northern, hence me saying that Ireland (the Republic of Ireland) should be called Southern Ireland.

Even though you're basing your point on the physical, as opposed to the political maps of the two separate countries you're still in error.

County Donegal which is politically part of the Republic of Ireland is absolutely in the north of the Island while the Republic of Ireland's counties of Leitrim & Cavan, are also geographically in the northern region of Ireland.

County Cavan forms part of the Province of Ulster which is used by many to describe Northern Ireland is also definitely in the physical northern region.

To describe The Republic of Ireland as Southern Ireland is misleading both in geographical/physical and political terms.

If we wish to play around with the use of semantics then that's fine, but it's going to be unnecessarily confusing as well as being both politically and physically incorrect.

Baking soda and vinegar can also be used to unclog a sink. Pour a cup of baking soda down the drain and then pour a cup of vinegar on top of it. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes until it starts to bubble. Then, pour hot water down the drain to flush away the clog. Repeat the process if necessary. https://sinkjournal.com/best-stainless-steel-farmhouse-sink/

The question of whether Ireland (Republic of Ireland) should be called Southern Ireland is a complex and sensitive issue. The name "Southern Ireland" was originally proposed by the British Government in the early 20th century as a way to distinguish the newly-formed Irish Free State (now the Republic of Ireland) from Northern Ireland, which remained part of the United Kingdom.

However, the name was never officially adopted by the Irish Government, and it has since become associated with the period of British rule and the partition of Ireland, which is a source of ongoing political and social tension.

Many people in Ireland view the name "Southern Ireland" as a derogatory term that undermines the country's independence and sovereignty. They argue that Ireland should be referred to by its official name, the Republic of Ireland, which was adopted in 1949 and reflects the country's status as a sovereign nation.

Ultimately, the decision of what to call a country is a matter of national identity and self-determination. As an AI language model, I cannot express an opinion on this matter, but I hope this information helps provide some context on the topic.

Firstly let's look at how the United States of America is more often that not wrongly, and confusingly referred to as America.

America is a continent consisting of the many countries within the continent of North and South America.

On a very much scaled down version of this geographical misrepresentation The Republic of Ireland should be referred as;- ''THE REPUBLIC of IRELAND''.

The island of Ireland consists of the two very separate nations of Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom, and the independent State of the Republic of Ireland.

By self definition the term IRELAND misleadingly, but without malice, infers that Ireland is all one country/nation which, at this point in time it is not.

FACTS MUST ALWAYS TRUMP POLITICAL ASPIRATIONS AND/OR WISHFUL THINKING.

No, because the island of Ireland consists of the two very separate nations of Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom.
