Should Latinx people be able to use the n-word?
All over the country, it is becoming more and more normal to hear the n-word by people who are not Black Americans. Who should be able to say it? Anybody? Or noone? What do you think and why?
Use one piece of evidence from one of the articles to support your opinion.
if a person that is not black was raised in a black neighborhood and is used to those types of words and see themselves as African American, i feel like it's okay to use the N word.
I say they should as many latinx people are called the hard R and in my case I'm part Moroccan which if anyone wants a geology lesson is in North Africa
Starting since Christopher Columbus arrived and put people into slavery from the Caribbean after finding gold in Puerto Rico (1493), all the way up to "March 22, 1873, the Spanish National Assembly finally abolished slavery in Puerto Rico." We forget that the people were ignored, treated harshly, and so on. Our blood and culture was mixed with africans who were brought over in 16th century. We had grown together in puerto rico, we had then continued over time together. 1957 we as Puerto Ricans finally earned the right to even wave our own flag. We understand that it is hard to see it from a racist perspective, yet we grew together so tightly, we are almost one in the same, if not the same. We accept that we have our differences in some extent, yet, we must respect the history behind it.
It is wromg amd usually racist to use the N word, but free speech is a human right between the person, and God. If you hear something racist, counter the racism, with facts, logics, and a verbal ass whooping, but don't censor, or criminalize.
Latinx ppl may have experience very similar struggles but at the end of the day, a lot of them don't even identify as black or reject their black traits so it's not cool to use a slur that they have very little or no connection to.
No they shouldn't because they haven't felt that pain and like before, not all latinx people identify as black and so it really isn't right in the first place
While no one has the right not to be offended, by say, someone expressing their opinion during reasoned discourse, the use of the N word can only be interpreted as a willfully provocative statement of insult by resentful and racist bigots.
I think even as latinx people can have black ancestors and genealogy, I feel as though nobody should be saying a word that brings such pain to the hearts of people.
when I was younger I thought it was okay that latino people could use the n word because they weren't using it to be offensive but then I realized that sometimes they also are racist to black people but also still use the n word
no, they should not use they n word because black people have a back round due to they words yea some landings have some flavor in them but not full flavor black people to this day have effects due to that we cant go some without getting racial profiled and Latins don't clam them self as black people therefore why should they say that n word that word brought us rain and terror i
when I was young I felt like it was okay to say the n-word cause I went to an all-black school and I heard everyone say it but as I grew up and learned more about racism I just don't feel like its okay
Well..., you've got your whites and you've got your white trash honky crackers. You've got your Latinx and you've got your spics. You've got your Jews and you've got your kikes. Every race has their "derogatory" and every race has been able to transcend that. But most blacks have had it harder than most. I only wish they themselves would stop using it ;)
Note the UNBELIEVABLE coincidence that it's mostly new comers responding to this thread.
Clearly this is a thinly veiled and pitiful attempt to give the impression that the site has more members than it actually has.
Such fraudulent skulduggery wouldn't have been necessary had 'THE MANAGEMENT'' had the prudent foresight to empty Nom and his legions of alts years ago.
While THE FILTH has obviously been instructed to modify his foul language he continues to spend most of his time effing other members into and back out of hell.
Now, I wonder why the GENUINE PARTICIPATING MEMBERS have all but vanished!!
