Should PE be required of all students throughout middle and high school.
Consider the needs of every student (physical, emotional), and determine whether or not PE should be a required activity for every student through their middle school, and high school years. Be sure to support your statement with facts of why or why not.
What do you do in Physical education?You move around excise them muscles,It makes your body look good and makes you healthy weight,"Exercise helps people lose weight and lower the risk of some diseases. Exercising regularly decreases a person's risk of developing certain diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure."
Schools don't require students to have access to P.E, why is that, do teachers don't care about kids getting fat? We all see fat kids get bullied in are life. If we get P.E we wouldn't worry about being over weighted, and just continue being healthy.
Or maybe people should just change their eating habits. This would better help to solve the problem of diabetes and obesity better than forcing students into a PE class
people can change their eating habit but what if that person just stays in their house playing video games and not exercising and the sun have vitamin D for your body.
Then their parents should be the ones responsible for ensuring that kids go outside and participate in activities after school. This doesn't mean that PE should be forced on students at school.
parent insuring their kids to go outside or be in after school activities is the same thing as going to PE during school. why lose free time if you can do it in school
yes P.E should be required through middle school and high school because everyone needs to stay healthy and in shape. your body needs to be moving so your brain can function moving your body is also good for your heart.
Instead of forcing students to be apart of a class that they are uncomfortable with, maybe school should incorporate healthier foods in the cafeteria and stop students from bringing unhealthy foods to school. This would cause better eating habits, which would be a better way of preventing diabetes and obesity.
Everyone Needs Their P.E So They Can Be Fit If They Choose To Have Their P.E Most People Wanna Stay Fit So They Can Be Able To Do More Things If You Want It Or Not P.E Should Be Required
pe is something that people chose to do and a lot of people chose to do it. lets say you are going to your friends house but you dont have a car, so you run to their house, you start to sweat,science has said little bacteria on your sace is eating your sweat which makes you stink, you cant go tho your friens house stinking like that.
Benefits of Physical Activity. Regular physical activity can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions such as: Heart disease. Cancer. and i agree with u some people should try PE if they wanna be fit
I disagree cause if you are working out in P.E. you could pop a muscle and you couldn't work out anymore and the Gym is a waste of I me and making people like me feel useless because all of the popular people make fun of me even tho I'm really good and really healthy but whatever .... I could be using 90 minutes of gym to do other classes that could help me in my future
I believe that gym class should be optional in schools because many kids think of gym class as torture, healthy shouldn't need to go to gym, and because students have to miss learning and do extra exercise and the gym is a waste of time!!!
Physical education classes should be in every school. Children and teenagers need necessary physical activity to be healthy and just all around not lazy as people. Being physically active is just as important to someone's development as being active. It would be a sad day if schools removed physical education from the schools

I think PE should be required for every body can many kid are athletic but many don't get the chance to go outside maybe cause grade but PE helps us kids be more athletic and healthy when we go outside also according to my research Getting that recommended exercise outdoors can help ease emotional and mental pain while improving mood. There are several physical responses our bodies have to being in nature. Sitting outside can reduce blood pressure, lower heart rate, and decrease cortisol levels.
I agree that PE should be required my fact towards that is " it is important for young students to stay physically fit." And it will make them more healthier. also... "The rise of obesity in young children has become a growing" mostly. And another fact is " Without the knowledge and prior experience, we may be setting our children up to make unhealthy choices which will follow them right into adulthood." which is true.
Yes pe should be required because people would be out of shape they wouldn't have strength to do stuff. If you don't do it right now your body will get use to not doing excise then when you want to do it it will be harder for you to do excise because your body is no t use to doing excise

Well truth because we need exercise to lose calories and other thing so i agree ,or else you probably be fat or weak so we need exercise so we can be healthy.
pe should be required because all students should be allowed, students need their exercise to stay healthy and have stronger bones. if students dont have pe it could form bad habits such as, lazyness, eats to many sweets, and will not do anything but play on gameing consoles. so that is why students should get the privilege to participate in sports
The reason physical education should be required to all student's through out middle school and high is because that might be the only exercise they get for the whole week and their are to many children trying to fight obesity at a young age and we don't know if their parents try to help at home so it is very nice to have people to help you get through it so they want to help you fight it while you can.
We should have Gym every day because daily exercise is important kids enjoy it and it builds cooperative learning skills and like some other students they aren't healthy and don't get enough sun every day
I am sure exercising is a great important thing to do, but we all don't need P.E for a whole week, I am sure we need to study and learn to get are education, so we could get a real job in the future. It is nice to do both in a week, but we have to focused on one thing, it is staying alive, if we exercise we could be able to stay alive longer
staying active helps ur mind grow Regular exercise changes the brain to improve memory, thinking skills. There are plenty of good reasons to be physically active. Big ones include reducing the odds of developing heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Maybe you want to lose weight, lower your blood pressure, prevent depression, or just look better and gives u the nutrients that u need, it also helps u to stay ready

What if teachers started teaching some of their lessons outside? This would be a better solution to giving students time to be outside and have fresh air rather than force them to participate in a PE class that makes them uncomfortable.
you are right about that cause keeping kid coped inside is not good for them they need to be active to burn of all that energy and not having all that energy will not have them act up in class
P.E should be required because children/teens need to be able to have somewhere where they can run around and exercise, when people may not have it. Childhood obesity is also a problem, when the children/teens are in a school almost all day and don't have any place to let out energy, it may be bad for their health and they may not be able to get the exercise they would need for daily life.
P.E should be required for all middle scholar's and high scholar's because if they don't allow that kids might be focusing more on other non importent things instead of taking care of their body and also because they get entertainig and can help kids have fun
I'm for it because with PE you can get fitted and it helps you loose weight. It also, makes you more active and energetic, as well. Even though you might not like , it's good for your health and with PE your brain can function very well ,too.

P.E should be considered throughout middle and high schools it brings a lot of benefits if you play a sport in high school and your really good at the sport it can lead to a scholarship for collage.I like P.E because I would rather play outside than to do essay inside when.I go outside it hurts my eyes it is bad for your eyes to do that.

I believe PE should be required because the number of obese children is very high and keeping them active through school will decrease this number. Obviously there are other factors that contribute to obesity but exercise can go towards preventing the situation.

The only reason you would get hurt from exercise, is if you start abusing your body and do workouts that are way beyond your level of fitness. Doing a bit of exercise everyday can help you a lot, such as losing weight, and increasing your strength.
not all the time it should be a choice for the students and not the teachers because students. should study more than exercise it duos help in physical education butt not in ELA or math
Not all people wanna stay fit,Some people might be skinny and the doctor is telling them to gain more weight, why would they have do Physical Education to lose the weight that that gained??Some people actually like there body and wanna stay that way!:)
we need P.E. cause if could lose weight and you could strong and it could be a early practice for you if you play a sport and it a great workout for you!!!
If all you did was study then take 30 to 40 minutes and if all you do is study you wont be able to pick up a lot of stuff and if you run it would be hard cause you would be stopping to get air back cause you lost it and PE teaches to run for a while

I think it is the decision of the person because they are already mature people in exception. they are already adolescents and do not depend on people. For example, they can go to ela, math, ETC.
I get that health is important and all, but a forced class is going to make many unathletic people unhappy. They're most likely going to be sad or mad every minute of it since it's basically self-humiliation an example id being last to be picked on the team, or when you don't catch the ball and everyone will hate you for it. Why make P.E.

PE is not a waste of time, and is actually better for physical health, yes they may think it's a waste of time, but when they exercise they are able to do things they may have not been able to do before.

p.e. should be required cause everyone needs exercise if they don't want to they don't have to if they want to do it at home that's fine but even kid should get exercise no matter what they look like they came go outside burn off some energy if all that energy is out they mite behave better in class with all that extra energy gone and done

people like you dont't understand that youth child obesity is a problem that needs to be solved and we have the cure right in the palm of our hand and its called exercise but people don't care any more every body is so worried about how they look and how they want to look but people don't want to work to get to were they want to be and how they want to look

PE should not be a requirement for every student. Some students are not comfortable being in an athletic setting with their friends and peers. It can cause self esteem issues and behavioral problems from some students. THere are other ways that students can get physical activity time in to ensure that they are living a healthy life. They can do things after school, or at home, therefore, it should not be a requirement in school. It should be a student's choice.

well, if the number is 18%, then maybe we should consider changing food served in the cafeteria to be healthier and prevent students from bringing unhealthy snacks to school. The food should be changed, but most people still need to get exercise they need. It's not the most comfortable thing, but people try to keep up their physical health even if it's uncomfortable.
There is plenty of judgement. Consider when kids get picked last to play a sport in PE because other kids don't think they play good enough, or what about kids that sweat a lot, so they feel like other kids will make fun of them if they go outside and start to sweat.

People that are suffering from heart disease probably have other things causing this, other than participating in a physical education class. Heart disease could be more caused from bad eating habits.
Kids can play outside at home, or even join a city sport league to help them get physical activities into their daily lifestyle. This means that PE is not essential for every student in school- there are other options available
